What do you mean Abel was the fourth angel in this scene? You must be remembering wrong. Clearly it was Adam’s Seraph widow, who has much more of a reason to be here than a character that does nothing funny or useful in this scene.
Meg’s presence here was to show Hell she doesn’t begrudge their anger and hatred, and that she too is sorry for what they were put through…but Vox saw this opportunity to twist things:
Obviously these angels are here to not only silence them, but get revenge for their military leader’s death! The vengeful widow, accompanying the other tyrannical angelic forces to avenge her late husband!
This twist of the narrative didn’t help the plan of repentance the group had been aiming for…

I’ve had to think long and hard about Seraph Meg’s (my other self-insert form) role in season 2. For those that don’t know, as a Heavenborn angel, Meg is the Seraph of Patience (Emily is Joy and Sera is Justice), lead caretaker at the Heavenly Play Place (idea is from this x reader story) which is Heaven’s area for child souls and child Heavenborn to stay in, and Adam’s third and final wife.
They had been married for centuries, but she-like Emily-was kept in the dark about Exterminations by not only her sister (Sera) but also her husband. As a result, in season 1 things are tense after the courtroom scene but end on a bittersweet note. The last time she sees Adam is right before he goes through the portal to Hell. As we all know, he doesn’t return.
Lute tells Meg the tragic news after seeing Lilith, and gives her Adam’s halo. Instead of Lute wearing it, Meg does, because she was his wife and so it’s only fitting. Then in season 2, Meg isn’t there in the Room of the Speaker with everyone else. So she doesn’t see any of the events that happen in there. Where she is actually will be shared in a different edit.
(Also for newcomers: I have three main storylines/forms for Hazbin Hotel. Hellhound/disguised Shardian, Seraph, and human)
