I genuinely think the hate Miss Martian gets is because she’s a female character who acts ‘feminine.’ If her storyline and her faults and her insecurities were written onto a male character everybody would be all over it. The serious wrongs and faults she did in season 2 wouldn’t be a problem, it would be treated as part of the narrative and part of the flaws of a nuanced character. She’s one of the most amazingly written characters on the show, almost completely invented by YJ alone, and her arc in s4 has been great so far.

#young justice #literally -- season 2 and her mind frying people wasn't the problem -- it's a dc show #people get mind fried people get mind controlled all the time you watched the entire league get mind frazzled in s1 #and in s2 Mgann's faults were OBVIOUSLY framed as deep flaws and a slippery slope she fell down and had to get back from #completely destroying her relationship and trust with someone she loves -- connor kent #and - like a normal person not adjusting well -- she rebounded and went into a relationship with lagoon boy that was not good for them #and they acknowledged all of this -- all of this #I'm sorry to be so blunt but also you hate Miss Martian because she's a girl who's getting #an autonomous and interesting #storyline #about her and her flaws and her overcoming it and her relationship with connor #throughout it all #the mind wiping was obviously not good but it was the point that ripped conner and her apart #and the consequences were insane look at kaldur #you don't hate Mgann because of the mind wiping mind frazzling -- you hate her cos she's a woman in a main character spot #yj #yj4
