Last night we had the last minute idea to head over to River Horse Brewing Co. in Ewing, NJ.
Mostly in an effort to get in on their fabulous idea - Girl Scout cookies matched with beer. (picture from River Horse Brewing Co.’s instagram)
Although we were late and didn’t have cookies ☹, we still had a great time.
Here’s what was on tap: (we tasted everything!)
Oatmeal Milk Stout
Mocha Lisa Porter
Hippos Hand Double IPA
Raspberry Tripel Horse
The People’s Lager
Belgian Freeze
Hippotizing IPA
(Original) Tripel Horse
I personally felt like the raspberry tripel was great! (I don’t even like raspberry). But others felt like the original was still the better of the two.
Their Mocaha Lisa Porter was amazing! We took it home in cans.
As you can imagine, you can get most things to go without filling a growler, which is always convenient.
~ Some facts about the brewery:
The brewery itself has a chip system, (paying for the chips to exchange for beer).
There is plenty of room for parties or small get togethers and lots of parking!
The bathrooms are gender neutral. And it is wheel chair accessible throughout the brewery.
With all that being said ~ I’d give this place a 7.
