This follows the assumption that the differences create a larger gap than similarities. I do not believe any two creatures share enough common bonds for initial comfort but even this conversation alone provides level ground enough to dispel doubt.

like it would be weird if everyone knew everything about other people because we're all that similar and we're not

i just think it's surprising it's not somehow a bigger deal?

i don't know maybe it's because there weren't as many people with powers where I'm from but you can't say this city isn't a little crazy

I am not intending to scold, I am simply stating my concern for a situation I am seeing in retrospect. It is common for me to add my opinion to an issue even if I do not believe it will be resolved.

I hope you dont believe that Im countering you because I side with either of them, because I dont. I find the whole situation ridiculous. As much as I dislike bullying I should point out that Palmier isnt innocent of it himself.

Ive tried that. It doesnt work. Ive tried bending over backwards for him like every other person around him does and he still loves to bring up the fact that he thinks Im responsible for his fathers death.

you've tried just not talking to him at all? because if that's the case I will give you that he's entirely in the wrong for bringing it up then rather than actually trying to move past things and let old grudges die and the wounds from them heal over

and from what I gather, since you brought the demon here of your own volition it's not like you're entirely innocent there?

No, but you can tell it was spoken with the intent to rile, which it did. For that I cant really express sympathy. It looks like emotional manipulation to me and as much as I myself would love to play victim at times it only looks petty to me.

intent to rile because of a legitimate grudge he's got against demon boy is a bit different from telling him his pain is invalid and he needs to get over it

Also the bird guys right. He started it, and to be honest Im fucking sick of having that brought up every time I say something to him.

Then maybe, oh I don't know, don't talk to him?? Give him a chance to heal and get over his grudge against you before you try talking to him again and maybe it won't get brought up

or alternatively, maybe don't be a big jerk when you talk to him and it might not get brought up

It is worth noting that the person who brought that particular snippet of history up in the first place was not the asshole in question. I find it tiring to hear of in the first place, with no emotional involvement whatsoever.

can you really blame a guy who lost his dad less than a year ago for bringing it up now and again? I mean I understand it's not the most fun thing to hear about, but this is a blogging website and he's allowed to bring that kind of thing up.....

You have very terrible timing, as it has been quite peaceful up to this point. At least from my perspective.

Yeah I guess I do. That's a shame though, I've been too busy to keep up and the only time I can is when things get bad. It's pretty lame.
