Finally finished this labor of love about love. Around the beginning of this month I rediscovered my passion for the music of the Boss (ironically completely independent of the Blinded By the Light film which I have yet to see) but I was confronted with recollections of a young girl who used to sit around listening to Born in the USA and believe that the "slick chrome American prince" (to quote the Killer's song Dustland Fairytale) was real. That love was wild and real and out there to be found. That romance wasn't entirely dead. Somewhere along the way with far too little cause that little American princess died out and became the girl of 17 who wrote an essay on why romance wasn't real.
