Endgame AU Starter for @thunderveins

Loki had spent the past five years in an odd stasis or sorts.  The only reason he was awoken was because he had been healed by someone...only to open his eyes and see that it was none other than his younger self.  Some words were exchanged, less than pleasant, but in the end the elder god had lost patience with the quantum clone and he immersed him back into the realm so that he would go back to his time period.  The last thing the trickster needed was himself getting in the way of everything.

Luckily, he had manged to obtain the Tesseract in the process.

Immediately, he used the space stone, locking on to Thor’s very unique cosmic energy and when he was on solid ground, he found that he was in the middle of a war zone.  Nothing less of what was to be expected of his luck.  He sighed, rolling his eyes and deciding that the Fates must have had a plan for all of it.

The god’s eyes set on Thor, who hadn’t noticed him yet.  The thunderer was being swarmed by Chitari and while he was handling himself well, wielding an ax in place of Mjolnir, there was a rather large bruiser making his way to Thor.  Another breath and Loki sprinted towards the threat and jumped on it’s back, landing his daggers in the beasts’ main arteries before allowing it to fall before him and looking to Thor.

      It wasn’t wise in any capacity to challenge any of the Avengers to a drinking contest. Each member either had serum running through their veins preventing such drunkenness, weren’t from Earth or had a stomach of steel that could survive even the strongest of alcohols. Except on this night. A few hours since the team had returned, scattered, tired and injured from what had been one of the bloodiest battles to date. They were victorious, but as each of them knew, victory did not prevent scars.

      One by one, people had retired to either return home, drag themselves to a spare room in the complex or simply wandered away to nurse wounds and drunken ego’s. By the time the clock his 2am, there were only two people remaining in the lounge. One was Bucky, who had taken to drinking alcohol that was far too strong for him. Strong enough to burn through the fucked up serum in his blood and actually make him feel numb. For once. It was a welcome feeling. It numbed the pain of the bullet grazes on one arm, of the bruised ribs and the thumbing headache he had earned from an 8 foot drop onto concrete. It also made him more chatty than usual.

      His companion, Thor, was the only other member still standing and god, could he drink! The man... or God, technically, had put away several bottles of something old and not of this world, which in itself was still awe-inducing to Bucky. He liked Thor, not just because he was incredibly kind, loyal and likely to crush anyone that got between him and what was right, but he was... different. For Bucky, the knowledge that Thor wasn’t human had stuck with him and provided an odd sense of comfort he had never been able to word, or even fully acknowledge. Thor had never hurt him, Asgard never had. Earth and fellow humans on the other hand...

            “So,” Bucky began, draining the glass he had in his hand and setting it down with a louder clink than intended, “everyone else has fucked off. I’m the only one still matching you drink for drink and I haven’t... uhm...,” a pause, “I haven’t asked in over an hour so come on. Share whatever secret Asguardian liquid you have hidden over there!” His cheeks were a little pink, and his words, although clear, did have a fuzziness to them. The twinkle in his eye could also be explained away as simply alcohol... or the fact that he was sitting across from an incredibly attractive individual. Maybe, just maybe, Bucky could indulge himself, just once.

            “Please?”

     She’s never quite seen the god from this height before, let alone in such arising proximity. A few times in this youth before her descent to midgard those centuries ago, and very few times after New York, but like this ? Where she could finally stand before him and speak as he does with so many others is both exciting and rather nerve wracking at the same time. 

     Though she attempts to appear taller and more intimidating than she barely was, minuscule form standing taller despite still having to tilt head back to gaze properly at his features, arms coming to a tense fold as though attempting the appearance of definition to arms. Tess might believe herself to appear intimidating now, but rather looks more akin to a youthful child trying to appear adult when a parent argues of their immaturity.

            Her smile was warm, sweet gentle, kind. She was a mother to her bones, the moment her son was born, she could not help the instinct. “Try me.” She was a witch, since she was born her name had been on a list, those special enough to be given the letter to join the school of witchcraft and wizardry.She had been a child, a girl, and now here her she was, a woman and a witch.  “I promise you, it will not surprise me.”

            Finding someone such as this was rather uncommon, you never find just a living breathing being floating around in space less they be dead, but this one seemed to be unconscious, lost at best seeing a show no one would willingly fall asleep in the middle of space with the dangers it faces.

Hand flicking to pull the other closer with the energy of the ring, holding him steady rather than wondering off on his own. He seemed simple enough and the ring didn’t detect anything but life from him, which meant he wasn’t dangerous to him at the moment. 

Walker decided to let him follow along in the sphere of energy he created for the man. Odym wasn’t far and he didn’t see why he wouldn’t worry or care for this man who clearly needed treatment and help.

                                       The trip to Odym was short, seeing as how he could in fact travel faster than most ship could, then again he didn’t want to cause whiplash on accident for the poor victim he found, so he took it slower to get to his battery planet. 

Settling him down on a soft patch of grass that had been untamed, Walker unlatched his armor to allow him comfort; to also feel and inspect all wounds he had. The ring played part in the healing of the man, though he really didn’t and wouldn’t know the extent of his injuries until he work up.

             "Darn..."

      It was pouring, when she landed on the ground— a tug to remove her mask as she stares down at her dimensional travel watch: broken. Nowhere to go, no place to call in for a night. It's a hard weight on her shoulders, a quick shake of her head, tempted to throw the thing to the side, but it was her only ticket back to her world. It frustrated her, the way things never seemed to go her way.

      A sigh leaves her lips, but the footsteps behind her immediately prompt her to turn around, cautious as she rises from her fall.

             "— Who's there?"

“ i will not---- “ his defiance was punctuated with another loud thunk as his THIRD knife buried itself into the ceiling. “ ----until you wake up. “ UNFORTUNATE that the brothers should find themselves trapped yet again, in some other strange little off-brand WORLD. he glowered as he twirled a FOURTH knife in his fingers. “ why is it that every time i find myself in your company, i end up in a CAGE. “ at least this time, his brother was accompanying him.
