Thunderbirds Rewatch 47th Week Part 3
@thunderversary-rewatch-party
Back in the Ort Cloud, The Tracy's are back at the Zero XL and there vehicles need to be assembled with it again but Brains isn't answering them. John thinks there's something wrong with the comms channel so he does a full spectrum blast but still doesn't hear from him.
Alan tries to dock but he's shut out but they find out that they are all shut out and then the Zero XL powers up and John says that Brains is going to leave them behind.
Scott tries to talk to Brains but still doesn't get a response so Scott asks John that they need to do something, if the Zero XL leaves them behind, they will never get back to earth.
John suggests they can send out a magnetic pulse, which would force the T Drive engine to reset. Virgil asks him would it damage the T Drive engine but John tells him no, it would only shut it down for a few minutes. Scott tells him to do, which John does and it works.
A small time later, Scott and Gordon get inside first and call out for Brains, he appears but we know that this is The Hood in disguise, bit a reference to the comic story and audio story Brains is Dead. Gordon asks him what was going on and was he trying to ditch them. He said it was 'engine trouble' and sure it would be fine now.
Then the others appear, Alan tells Brains look who they found but notices Max is missing. Brains then says it's good to see you Jeff. But Jeff notices something is off and tackles him, pinning him to the wall.
Virgil tells his Dad, easy, but Jeff tells him that this isn't Brains and then right on cue Brains and Max appear, he was put in a storage locker but could get out. He sees Jeff and calls him Mr Tracy and Jeff says he's never called him Jeff and then he hugs Brains.
I love that they have the 2 youngest bros, holding The Hood, You think that would been Scott's and Virgil's Job but then thinking about it, Scott probably would of punched him unconscious.
Jeff tells him, you never give up, do you, which The Hood tells him, not as far as your concerned. This of course makes Alan ask him, why he hated his Dad so much. The Hood tells him that they were friends a long time ago, the 2 of us were going to change the world but his ways never suited Jeff as he had this funny thing about right and wrong and at every turn, he was there to undermine his pursuit and he finally had enough and if Jeff Tracy wanted him to be the villain, then the villain I would be and the best villain our world has ever seen. Which then Jeff tells him he needs better goals.
Jeff then asks Brains about the storage locker, as they have some baggage to store before they take off. Which then the Hood realises he's going to be put in there.
can't believe I got a good screen shot of this.
A short time later, they are ready to go. Awww Virgil is strapping his Dad in and Jeff tells him he's going to be ok, and Virgil tells him he know, a lovely moment here.
Everything set to go and Scott asks his Dad, if he wants to count them down, which Jeff does and they head back.
Back on Tracy Island, Rigby tells Casey that orbital control has reported that the Zero XL has just appeared in orbit.
Scott contacts Kayo saying they are home with 2 extra passengers, which Kayo was confused when he said 2, so he tells her, they had a stowaway on board which Kayo realises it's her Uncle and even ask Colonel Casey if there is room for one more..
A short time later, they all landed back home. They are finally using Module 6, obviously referencing using Pod 6 in the original show episode, attack of the Alligators.
We also get another lovely reunion here. between Mother and Son.
But then she starts dragging him telling him, he wants him in the medical pod, getting a full scan and then after that a home cooked meal. which then Jeff turns to Gordon asking him to help him, which then Gordon says to him, welcome home, Dad.
I was hoping we get a big Pen & Ink moment here, but sadly we didn't but I could get a idea though.
I short time later. Alan is at the table working on something, then Grandma comes over telling him that they have a new High School graduate in the family, he tells her it's no big deal but does say he missed the ceremony and it happened when they re entered Earths orbit. But Grandma tells him she was able to pull a few strings (again Original show reference)
So then we see Alan getting his diploma, with everyone watching. Oh we do get a bit of Pen & ink here, with Penny holding on to Gordon's arm.
Before Alan receives his diploma, Jeff tells him he needs to wear the hat, it's tradition. Alan says, does he have to, which Jeff holds out the Graduation hat and Alan thought it was another hat (the hat from the original show.
He then receives his diploma and then hugs his Dad.
Everyone cheers and John continues to film on his phone, your doing amazing sweetie.
Then Jeff tells Alan about college, which Alan tells him, that he doesn't have his own car yet but Jeff tells him you have a rocket, which Alan says that's true.
Then John gets a alert as they have a situation and we get another tiny Pen & Ink moment, with Penny is again holding on to Gordon's arm.
They all launch to this rescue mission and it turns out, It's Day of Disaster. and Jeff is back at his desk.
So that's that, the last ever episode, I wished we had a season 4.
I have ideas on a season 4 and beyond, which I have mentioned before in my Operation Crash Dive rewatch as Season 4 would be based on that and would be more mature too. But it will always be stuck in my head. I'm not a great writer, my grammar isn't that great. I can plan ideas but writing it would be too hard for me and also I wouldn't have time to do it. I might think about posting my ideas though.
I've also got my own headcannon timeline, which I might post at some point.
