as i understand it, it's iDevice users who have the issues with new tags, not android. Android users, desktop users, and so forth are still good for old tags. not that this changes anything about using the new tags, i just noticed that your tags said ''android users'' -- for the moment anyway, we android users are in the clear on this. it's the apple app-store folks that have this update.
