Random Read: Warring Visions by Thy Phu

Pretty interesting book that I checked out today. It’s a series of photography and some write ups featuring art and artistry by Vietnamese people circulated during the Vietnam War.

It was a cover that got me, but then I thought it was so dope to flip through the pages and see Angela Davis in there. I loved how they bigged her up as an anti-war agent! This image was the cover of a magazine. I also loved the other photo of the women harvesting flowers. It’s striking, really. Typically we see mostly war photos, so this is a unique contrast of Vietnam.
