EVE Online Hits 450,000 Subscribers:
In a press release, CCP Games announced EVE Online crossed the 450,000-subscribers mark for the first time, thanks to the game entering the Chinese market and to its eighteenth new expansion.
Last week, we were talking about EVE Online history in China, and its ups and downs. Back in 2006, during its first launch, CCP Games had a hard time conquering the online gaming in the Middle Kingdom. And since last year, the game was in beta testing again, with another Chinese partner, TianCity; a company specialized in the online gaming in China, which did a good marketing. However, it remained unknown on how the second launch last December 6th would turn out.
A job well done by EVE Online and CCP Games, especially with a nine year old game. Well, they take good care of their game, updating, improving and deepening it, with free expansions.
