THE PILE PRESENTS: GameTrailers TV with Geoff Keighley #1-4 | 1/26-2/16/08
This is a big one... Bigger than the blast radius from an ion cannon, even.
It's the First 4 Episodes of GameTrailers TV with post-G4, pre-Dorito Pope/Game Awards/pissing off the Munkshrooms Geoff Keighley!
Did Fans of Command And Conquer Just forget this?
I was looking a forum of a Mass Effect/ C&C Tiberium Wars crossover and a discussion popped up on whether or not the Systems Alliance/GDI would still use Tiberium. a lot of discussions about its use as an energy source but none about the fact that it literally Focuses and collects all useable mineral resources in a planets crust into its easily harvested crystals.
Seems to Me like that would be extremely useful to mine say... a dead world with no biosphere to risk. seed it, and just harvest even the scarcest elements with nothing more than a drone controlled combine harvester...
Well I’ve finally discovered @limitedrungames as the original source of several USB drives in my collection and to that end I’ve purchased the Command § Conquer Remastered Collection so I can get my hands on the exclusive Tiberium deposit USB drive. A smart looking object that looks like it was lifted straight from the original game, plus I got some pins and a good pair of games as a pack-in bonus!
The drive itself is the largest crystal that pulls free from the base and has a green LED activity light that does an ok job at making the crystal glow when it is plugged it, though how your USB dock is orientated and the lighting conditions will help. It’s 8GB and that’s just about enough to hold the five albums worth of remastered soundtracks. Which is cool but everyone is only going to listen to Hell March over and over anyway!
I played a lot of these games as a young man, mostly in the Red Alert universe, those double barreled tanks were boss. And Tesla coils? Holy crap, watching them fry people never got old.
As I explore the Limited Run catalog it looks like my budget for this project will have to increase!
