What if my mom always makes me clean before going out because she knows I’ll drink and smoke weed and come home wanting to sleep and now everything is nice and I can go to bed comfortably and oh hey there’s nothing to trip over. Moms are nice.
I was feeling so shitty before and on the way to work and I just couldn't wait for it to be over so I could go back home and cry but I got there and being with my students made me feel way better THAT ACTUALLY HAPPENS

1. Well, I have a bruise on my leg. It’s awesome and pretty and black.
2. I like the long breaths I take after I smoke cigarettes and I’m just chilling in my room and I’m calm; they’re very relaxing and fresh and they remind me I breathe air.
3. I don’t know why I let myself not take care of my nails for a while. I did them a couple of days ago and they look very pretty and I won’t be careless again, I promise.
4. I like beer a lot. I love trying new beer. Because I love beer.
5. I probably have some real “issues” with or because of [the lack of getting along with my mom, but let’s ignore them always.
6. I think Sam’s Town changed my life. What if I had never started listening to The Killers when I was in middle school? Would I still be the same person? Would I have eventually evolved into the person I am now? They were the first band I fell in love with and I started loving music too much from there. What the hell would I be listening to now? It’s cheesy but I think I’d be very different if I didn’t care about music. I’m glad that happened.
7. I used to make up some weird shit when I played alone as a kid, but nothing cool. Not like imaginary friends or those cute things kids say and I never did anything mischievous. I was kinda isolated being the only girl and they’d tell me I was so pretty and my mom would dress me up all the time. It was nice but probably too much and I think that got to my head and I thought I was better than other little girls.
8. I don’t remember my first kiss. Nothing. Not the place nor the person nor the age, but I think it was Kindergarten sometime with this girl.
9. I’d like to say I’m good at writing but then I get over myself and think that it was just that reading/wirting/English came as easy subjects to me all through my mandatory education, but then I randomly find essays I wrote in middle school or something and I think “oh, shit. I did know big words and it flows.” I guess as you grow you realize you were dumb when you were younger but then you also realize you were pretty damn cool kinda and sorta knew some shit. Makes me try to not underestimate younger people.
10. I like calming down and just looking and being outdoors and nature and things are pretty and I love Mexico and big pretty wonderful places where there’s AIR to breathe.
