The twilight over Lookout Landing glowed warm and golden, painting the rebuilt walls in a soft halo. For once, there were no monsters, no shrines demanding attention, no restless adventuring, just peace. Link sat with his back against a pile of folded blankets, head tilted back, eyes half-closed.
Princess Zelda, however, wasn't so inclined toward stillness. She leaned into him, cheek brushing his shoulder, arms looping lazily around his waist. Her fingers tapped an idle rhythm against his tunic, and a sly smile tugged at her lips.
She could feel his chest rise and fall steadily. How serene he looked... how tempting that composure was to unravel.
Her hand lingered just a moment too long near his ribs, and she thought, with no small amount of delight, "I think I'll have a little fun with my Hero. Why not?"
Her fingertips grazed his ribs, slow and deliberate. Not a forceful jab, just the lightest dance of her nails over fabric. Link twitched before he could stop himself, his breath catching.
"Ohhh..." Zelda purred near his ear, her voice feather-light. "Are you ticklish~?"
He didn't answer, of course. He never did. But the scrunch of his nose and the way his lips twitched against a smile were more telling than words. Zelda's grin widened as she let her fingers drift again, scribbling lightly across his ribcage.
He shook his head as if to deny it, but his body betrayed him, shoulders rising instinctively to shield himself. A little breathy sound slipped out, half-laugh and half-whine, and Zelda's heart melted.
She pressed a soft kiss against his temple, then another along the curve of his neck. "Oh, Link," she chuckled softly, "you're far too easy to read~."
His chest quivered as she scratched with her nails just lightly enough to send sparks racing over his nerves. When the first giggles spilled from him, Zelda hummed, satisfied, pulling him closer into her embrace.
Zelda's sweet affection gave way to something more mischievous. Her arms cinched tight in a strong hug around him, anchoring him against her. He wasn't escaping, not unless she allowed it.
Her fingers darted lower, skimming over his stomach and chest. The reaction was immediate. A strangled titter escaped, his hands flying instinctively to push her away. She only laughed, her cheek brushing his.
"Oh, darling... only you get this side of me." She whispered the words like a secret, punctuating them with a sudden squeeze to his side that made him squeal. "You get me at my most ruthless."
His laughter spilled free, bright and unstoppable, wracking his body as Zelda shifted from chest to belly in relentless patterns.
"You know," she teased, voice warm with pride, "I'm a killer of a tickler, aren't I~?"
Link threw his head back, laughter tearing from his throat. His silent Hero façade crumbled into helplessness as Zelda kept up her merciless rhythm.
Zelda's curiosity took hold, an experimenter's spark glimmering in her eyes. "Let's see just where you're hiding your weaknesses..." she murmured.
Her fingers trailed up, brushing the hollows of his underarms. Link jolted violently, laughter bursting sharp and loud, arms clamping down instinctively. Zelda chuckled, kissing his jaw. "Ohhh, that's a good one~."
She moved to his ears next, only ghosting her nails along the curve. His laughter softened into squeaky titters, his shoulder hunching up adorably as he tried to shield himself. She nuzzled his neck between attacks, gentle and affectionate.
Her hands slipped lower, skimming over hips and thighs. Link bucked, his laughter exploding into frantic cackles. Zelda gasped dramatically, delighted. "Well! Someone's far more sensitive than he lets on."
She clung to him tightly, letting him squirm but never break free. Her kisses scattered across his cheek and neck in between attacks, an intoxicating mix of affection and torment.
Every sound he made, from the smallest giggle to the wildest shriek, only egged her on. His composure, his heroic silence, all shattered in her arms, and Zelda loved every moment of it.
Zelda knew precisely where she wanted to go next. Her fingers hovered, threatening, just above his waistband. She felt him tense, the way his laughter hitched nervously before she'd even touched him.
"Oh... here, isn't it~?" she teased. "Your worst spot~."
Her fingers scribbled suddenly across his lower stomach. Link instantly screamed, high-pitched, unrestrained, and bucked so hard that Zelda had to tighten her hold to keep him from slipping free.
His laughter poured out in wild, hysterical streams, no rhythm, no control, just pure cackling desperation. Zelda's smile was radiant, her giggles mixing with his. "Look at you~! My silent Hero, broken in seconds flat~!"
She alternated between light scribbles and pressing her thumbs firmly into the tender muscle, massaging just enough to make him thrash. Each technique sent him spiraling, kicking, his face red and tear-streaked with unrelenting laughter.
Zelda kissed along his jaw as she worked him over, her voice low and teasing. "So strong and composed... and yet here, you're absolutely hopeless~."
He screamed again, laughter shattering the night air, and Zelda hugged him tighter, her own heart racing with joy. This was theirs! His laughter, her merciless play, their love through every relentless touch.
At last, Zelda relented. Her fingers slowed, then stopped, resting softly on his chest. Link collapsed against her, body still twitching with leftover giggles, his breath ragged.
"Shhh," she murmured, stroking his hair back from his forehead. She pressed a gentle kiss to his temple, then another to his cheek, then the warm curve of his neck. "There, there... You did so well."
Her arms wrapped around him fully now, no longer confining but cradling. She rocked him slightly, soothing, her lips trailing soft kisses along his hairline. "You're so adorable when you laugh like that. I hope you know."
Link buried his face against her chest, shoulders shaking with the final remnants of helpless laughter. Zelda only held him tighter, heart swelling with tenderness.
Every ounce of her earlier ruthlessness had melted into pure, glowing care. She whispered softly, petting Link's hair, until his giggles faded into quiet hiccups. He was safe, warm, and adored.
Zelda leaned back against the blankets, tugging him down with her until they were curled together under the fading light. Her fingertips brushed soothing circles along his spine.
"Mmm... careful, Hero~" she teased lightly, kissing the crown of his head. "I might have to strike again when you least expect it~!"
Link groaned into her tunic, a whiny sound with some laughter. Zelda only giggled, hugging him closer.
The two of them drifted into quiet, the night air cool around them. All that lingered was warmth. She held him in her embrace, secure in the bond that tied them unshakably together.

Miles might as well open up his own physiotherapy clinic at this point.
After a (completely accidental) discovery that his mildest shocks could be used like a weird TENS unit [that's Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation if you were curious], a mighty hoard of spider-people swarmed him after every training session, anomaly mission, or particularly awkward sleep to fix their aching muscles.
Pavitr was the most recent to join the patient base.
"I've heard great things Miles, hope you won't disappoint." Pav groaned as he lay on the coach, arms flopped over his face. "I don't what I did yesterday but my abs feel AWFUL."
"Too much flexing in the mirror?" Miles jabbed with a smirk before resting his fingers on Pavitr's stomach.
He elected to ignore the subtle jump his friend made when his fingers made contact, putting it down to nerves. Understandable, it wasn't every day you asked your best friend to use his knockout-level shocking ability to ease some muscle cramps.
But once the current started bubbling into Pavitr's core, something else started bubbling out of it.
"You ok?" Miles raised an eyebrow, attention still focused on controlling how much shock he was administering.
Pav gave a groan in response, which only worried Miles further. Maybe he had started too strong? Pav was one of the smaller spider-people, he should probably ease up.
As Miles reduced his shock level though, Pavitr seemed to struggle even more to contain himself. His arms had moved from comfortably propping his head up to covering his face - with one hand gripping the couch cushions like his life depended on it.
Miles was completely perplexed. "Pav? What's going on?" He asked, shifting his hands higher on the kid's torso as a last ditch attempt to see if a different muscle might be easier for Pav to work with.
Apparently that did it, though.
Pavitr gave a noise somewhere between a screech and TV static, before locking his hands around Miles' wrists and bursting into giggles.
"Okokokokahahay Mihihiles wahahait!" Pav begged, curling in on himself with his hair falling over his face.
Miles grinned, completely abandoning his idea from 30 seconds ago to give up and let Pav leave. "Ohhh...."
"Shuhuhut uhuhup!" Pav cackled. "I cahan't help ihihit!"
"This whole time, you were just too ticklish to handle it?" Miles laughed, moving his hands lower again onto Pavitr's abs.
"I am not!" Pav shrieked at the movement, before straightening himself up to prove his point.
"You sure?"
In a stroke of evil genius, Miles switched tactics. He gripped around Pav's hips and sent pulsing shocks at random intervals through the bone.
The poor spiderman didn't stand a chance. Pav launched himself as far into the couch cushions as possible (so about 10cm from his initial position) with a squeal, hips bucking with every shock.
"NONONO Miles please I cAHAHAN'T HAHAndle ihit wAHAIT!" Pavitr gasped, his face redder than his suit.
"But Pav..." Miles said, mock-sympathy tainting his innocent face.
"I'm helping."
Original Request: "Hey so for Day 20, can we get Phoenix (and maybe a few others?) teasing Edgeworth into a flustered mess since you can never have enough Lee Edgeworth? Thanks."
Author’s note: Oops! Sorry this is two days late, but here it is as promised! Here’s Day 20 of Tickletober: “Tease,” “Weakness,” and “Posing” from August’s Tickletober List, Crow’s Tickletober List, and Nim’s Tickletober List. I hope you enjoy!
Series: Ace Attorney
Characters: Phoenix Wright, Miles Edgeworth, Maya Fey, Detective Gumshoe
Word count: 1,288
Summary: Edgeworth refuses to admit that he made any noise similar to a squeak after Phoenix accidentally startled him, but Phoenix starts to tease him to admit it once he remembers Edgeworth’s little “weakness” that caused him in part to squeak.
---
“I did not squeak. You’re hearing things,” Edgeworth’s arms are crossed and his head is turned away from Phoenix.
“Uh, no. That was definitely a squeak, Edgeworth,” Phoenix counters. “It sounded just like a mouse.”
“Maybe a mouse getting stepped on,” Maya snickers.
Edgeworth whips around to face them, “Well, what do you expect me to sound like when you surprise me like that?!”
“It’s okay, Mr. Edgeworth!” Gumshoe chimes in. “If it makes you feel any better, it didn’t sound like a mouse, it sounded more like a creaky faucet handle!”
Edgeworth face palms. “So reassuring, Detective...”
This whole conversation started because Phoenix and Edgeworth were arguing over how to do a proper Steel Samurai pose. Phoenix had done the iconic pose with his form bent forward and an arm poised like he was holding weaponry at his side, but Edgeworth corrected him. The prosecutor got up and showed the “proper” way to do the pose (basically doing the same thing that Phoenix did). Phoenix shook his head and went over to Edgeworth to begin posing him like a plastic doll. In the process, however, Phoenix grabbed Edgeworth’s sides in order to turn him in the right direction, but Edgeworth suddenly leaped from the lawyer’s grasp with—what everyone but Edgeworth is defining as—a squeak.
“Okay, so if it wasn’t a squeak, what do you call it?” the lawyer asks.
“A startled exclamation that was higher pitched than average,” Edgeworth makes his alleged squeak sound more refined.
“Hmm, that is a good way to describe it,” Maya says.
Phoenix rolls his eyes. “Edgeworth, all I did was touch your sides–” Phoenix suddenly stops himself. A realization hits him. “Ooh, I get it now,” a smirk grows on Phoenix’s face. “I forgot that Edgeworth has that little weakness.”
“Wright,” Edgeworth says with a stern tone that translates to: don’t push it.
But Phoenix Wright being Phoenix Wright is absolutely going to push it.
Phoenix holds his hands behind his back and begins circling the prosecutor, like a supervillain about to monologue to all angles of a camera.
“I can’t believe it slipped my mind that the stern and sharp-witted Edgeworth can be thrown off by something so… childish,” Phoenix grins over Edgeworth’s shoulder before passing by him, but not without first giving Edgeworth’s side a quick squeeze. The prosecutor jolts and tightens his elbows down upon reflex, though still keeping his arms crossed.
“Wright,” Edgeworth glares at him, giving him a second warning. His eyes are locked on Phoenix as the lawyer walks back in front of him.
“Don’t you think it’s funny, Edgeworth? You can act all big and tough in the courtroom, but a quick tweak to your ribs, a squeeze to your side, or maybe a scribble into your stomach will send you crumbling to your knees,” Phoenix makes sure to enunciate and draw out the most flustering words of his sentence to effectively tease him, all while he says them with a smirk and wiggling fingers.
Edgeworth reflexively leans back a little, staring at Phoenix’s hand like a cautious cat. When Phoenix steps closer, Edgeworth takes a defensive step back.
“Wr-Wright,” Edgeworth stumbles over his words as he says the lawyer’s name for a third time. “D-Don’t–”
But Phoenix leaps at Edgeworth and tackles him to the couch behind them. Edgeworth crashes onto the cushions and immediately wrestles away Phoenix’s hands that are trying to get a strike on him. He squirms back even further, his head eventually touching the arm of the couch, right before Phoenix slips a hand out of Edgeworth’s grip and plunges it towards his side. Edgeworth jolts with a yelp, and as much as he tries to restrain his laughter, snickers start leaking their way through his defenses and eventually turn into giggles.
“Oooh, now I understand the big ‘weakness’ Mr. Wright was talking about,” Gumshoe says. “It’s how Mr. Edgeworth is really ticklish!”
“Thahahank you fohohohor stating the obvious, Dehehetective!” Edgeworth responds with some sass, but he yelps after his sentence when Phoenix moves a hand towards his belly, causing the prosecutor to curl forward a bit.
Gumshoe chuckles, finding amusement in the timing and in the rest of the scene. “Heh he, no problem, pal.”
Maya places her hands on her hips. “Nick! I’m ashamed of you!”
“Huh?” Phoenix briefly turns to her. “For what, Maya?”
She waltzes over towards the couch. “For not telling me you were going to tickle Mr. Edgeworth!” she smiles. “Let me help!” She quickly jumps in and adds her hands to the mix, which sends another ticklish jolt through Edgeworth when she gets one of his sides. “I want to hear his squeaky giggles!”
“I alreheheady told yohohou, I did nohohot squeak!” Edgeworth shouts through his laughter.
“Really? Are you sure, Edgeworth? Because I can replicate the sound right now for evidence,” Phoenix smiles. “It sounded like this,” he suddenly gives a squeeze to Edgeworth’s side, although this one with much more tickly intent than when he was posing him earlier. Edgeworth does indeed let out a squeak-like sound through his giggles.
“No no, Nick,” Maya says. “It sounded more like this,” she gives a scribble to his belly and a high-pitched giggle emerges.
“Hmm, that is pretty close,” Phoenix pretends to ponder. “But it had more of a shriek to it. Like this,” Phoenix tweaks Edgeworth’s ribs, causing another squeak from the man before his giggles rise even louder from Phoenix keeping his wiggling fingers at his ribs.
Edgeworth tilts his head back and kicks his legs behind them. “Stohohohop that!” he shouts before he turns his head towards the cushions and puts a hand to his face to hide his flustered expression from their back and forth teasing.
“Detective Gumshoe, we need a second opinion,” Phoenix looks over to their friend. “What do you think sounds the most similar?”
Gumshoe puts a hand to his chin. “Hmm, try his ribs again?”
Phoenix gladly gives another tweak to the bottom of Edgeworth’s ribs, earning a mouse-like (or faucet handle-like) squeak from the prosecutor and his hands to shoot down in defense before the flood of his giggles continue.
“Yes, very,” Phoenix smiles and pulls his hands away. Maya stops right after him. Edgeworth leans back on the couch, still with his arms to his sides as she catches his breath.
“Nice going, Nick! You got him to admit it!” Maya cheers.
“Eh, what can I say,” Phoenix shrugs, “I’m pretty skilled at getting people to admit things.”
“I’m proud of you for admitting it, Mr. Edgeworth!” Gumshoe supports him. “There’s nothing to be embarrassed about!”
“There’s everything to be embarrassed about,” Edgeworth grumbles and covers his face with both of his hands.
Phoenix taps the side of his hand to Edgeworth’s shoulder. “Don’t worry about that. Edgeworth. This isn’t a courtroom with a judge, and even then, the judge we know wouldn't judge you for this. This is a safe space.”
Edgeworth simply groans through his hands.
“And if it makes you feel any better,” Phoenix continues, “a smile suits you better anyway.”
Edgeworth tilts his hands to peek through them, seeing Phoenix with a warm, compassionate smile on his face.
Edgeworth sighs and moves his hands from his head. It’s hard to stay mad at the lawyer when he can tell he’s speaking truthfully.
“Don’t think this is going to make me forget about our Steel Samurai debate, Wright,” Edgeworth mentions, in his same serious tone as always, though with a soft smile on his lips.
Phoenix chuckles, pleased that the prosecutor is back to his usual self. “Heh. Wouldn’t dream of it, Edgeworth.”
Hey everybody!! Here are links to all the SFW tickletober prompt lists I've found for Tickletober 2024! I'll put them under a cut, and I'll edit the list if any more crop up. Have fun this year, and remember to take care of yourselves!
Fic Descript - Nowhere in their diaries does it mention at what point River finds out the Doctor is ticklish. Unfortunately for him, he assumes she already knows.
~A/N - Once again, blame @carrie-tate for my Doctor Who resurgence (like look at this and tell me it doesn't fill your heart with joy)
And you can also blame her for a specific line in this fic that she created (and tagged me in which was super cool sdfjkhasfjklh) cause it's GENIUS
Not a super long fic but I actually really love the entire concept for this one hehe, so I hope you all do too.

"Running off again?" River called out, as The Doctor pushed open the door to his TARDIS.
The Doctor turned to lean against the doorframe, flashing her a small grin. "Thought you'd expect that by now, you know me."
"I do." She smiled, moving closer so they were mere inches apart. "More than you think."
River pressed a kiss just under the side his jaw, expecting nothing more than a smirk in response before her partner would whisk himself away in his incredible blue box.
But her prediction couldn't have been further from reality, as The Doctor giggled and scrunched his shoulder up between them - making her half-jump away in surprise. River gave him a innocently puzzled look, smiling slightly in endearment at the noise he had made.
"Shut up." He blushed, refusing to meet her gaze.
River laughed, moving herself into his field of vision. "What was that?"
With a groan, The Doctor's face flushed further. "You know what that was!"
River paused, genuinely trying to come up with some recollection of what the last few seconds could possibly have been caused by. "I don't-."
"Oh-... Um- In that case-" The Doctor began to backpedal, but his reaction was only quick enough to realise his incorrect assumption had just landed him in deep trouble.
"Wait..." River smirked, catching on at the perfect time to put 2 and 2 together. "Are you ticklish?"
There it was.
The Doctor broke into a rare, nervous smile. "Uh... No...?" He stated with an unconvincingly low level of confidence.
"Is that so?" She smirked.
"Um-"
"Remind me, what's the first rule of travelling with The Doctor?" River asked innocently, sliding her hand around his torso and casually poising her fingers against each of his lower ribs.
"River!" He squeaked, his hands fumbling over themselves. "I'm not-! You don't-! It's not-!"
River closed what little distance remained between their faces, so once again her lips brushed against his neck. "The Doctor lies."
His shoulders scrunched up, though this time The Doctor put far more effort into resisting any hint of a smile spreading across his face - he was practically vibrating with effort. River slowly traced her fingers over his ribs, relishing in every jump and reluctant snicker that managed to sneak through the cracks in the Doctor's resolve.
"What a rare sight..." She teased, beginning to softly claw her hands over his sides. "The Doctor, left speechless... I never thought I'd see the day."
"RIVER!" He yelped, twisting away from her.
Unfortunately for him, that only led to River wrapping her arms around his waist and fluttering her fingers over his stomach.
Every time her hands touched down it seemed worse than the last time, and so it didn't take long for the Doctor to burst into helpless giggles. It was like she naturally gravitated to each of the most ticklish areas on his body, hitting each spot like clockwork and tearing the poor Time Lord apart.
"Still sure you're not ticklish?" She half-shouted above his laughter.
When he didn't respond, she decided to move her hands down to latch onto his hips.
"NO RIHIVER YOU KNOHOW I CAHAN'T!" He cackled, desperately trying to push her hands off of him.
"What, have we done this before?" She chuckled as her fingers drilled into the sensitive bones.
"SHUHUT UHUP!" The doctor cackled, trying to twist out of her arms.
"Oh Sweetie," She cooed sympathetically, hooking under his arms and moving her fingers up to twirl around his neck and ears. "Does it tickle?"
He curled his shoulders up with a giggle, sinking into her embrace. Although it still tickled like hell, he appreciated the break from his far more ticklish upper body, and at this point was too tired to fight back.
Thankfully, River also seemed to sense his complete exhaustion, and so it didn't take long for her to finally let him free. They both sunk to the floor, with The Doctor lying exhausted in her lap.
"There's no way that was your first time." The Doctor panted, a smile still stuck on his face.
River laughed gently. "And why's that?"
He shot her a glare. "You figured out I was ticklish ridiculously quickly, and then you knew exactly where to tickle me every single time."
She shrugged, but couldn't help the grin sneaking onto her face. "Maybe you're just easy to read."
He rolled his eyes and sat up. "Did you know I was ticklish or not?"
(2023) TickleTober Day 8: Alien - More Human Than You Think
Fic Descript - The Doctor maintains that being tickling is a strictly human thing. While Rory is quick to accept it, Amy knows him too well.

"I keep thinking I'm used to you." Rory said with a light chuckle.
The Doctor popped up from where he was working. "What's that supposed to mean?" He asked with a scrunched face, wielding a modified hair dryer and what looked like washing machine tablets.
Clearly the irony was lost on him.
The TARDIS needed a little TLC (in the Doctor's words), and so the team had taken the rare opportunity of peacefully floating through space to get some adjustments done. The Doctor was banging and tinkering at the console, Rory was watching, and Amy had gone to take a shower (because apparently she had no desire to listen to the Doctor's consistent yapping as he worked).
"Well, I've been here for long enough to feel like I know you." Rory explained. "But then you go do something... odd... And it's like the first day I met you all over again."
"Are you forgetting Rory," The Doctor half-shouted over the whirring of the hair dryer. "I'm an over 900 year old Time Lord from another planet, of course I'm odd. The best people are."
Rory softly tilted his head, taking a moment to fully appreciate that perhaps it was the overall circumstance that was weird rather than the person in front of him, before circling around the console closer to his friend.
"That looks better." The Doctor sat upright and clicked off his tool, turning to face Rory. "What do you think? After this I've just got a few more tweaks and we can be off again."
"You look human though." Rory continued from his previous train of thought. "You eat human food, you dress in human clothes, surely you aren't completely Alien."
"I'm just as Alien to you as you are to me." The Doctor chirped, scurrying over to the next stage in his TARDIS-repair plan.
As he moved, however, he failed to realise the space (or lack thereof) between his head and the edge of the console. He let out a tight-lipped groan as he rubbed the impact site on the top of his forehead.
"And you feel pain like us." Rory added, jumping to add the spontaneous example that would back up his point to the list.
The Doctor shot him an agitated look. "Don't they teach you bedside manner at your nursing job? I near enough break my skull and all you do is point out that we both feel pain? Most beings do!"
Rory, ignoring the Doctor's initial complaining and instead focusing on his last statement, nodded in contemplation. "I suppose they do..."
"I sUpPoSe tHeY- ugh..." The Doctor rolled his eyes, accepting that he wasn't getting any sympathy from the usually most sympathetic person on the TARDIS. "Any other questions? Or can I get back to doing something important."
"Hmm..." Rory scratched the back of his head. "Are you ticklish or anything?"
The Doctor froze momentarily, before jumping to his feet with a spin and a smile. "Nope, that's unique to you humans."
Rory gave him a doubtful but unsure look.
"Honestly, if anything you lot are the weird ones with your... hyperactive nervous systems... and... involuntary laughter responses..." The Doctor rambled, but his flow was a little more disjointed than usual.
"I guess so..." Rory nodded, but he still couldn't shake the memory of the Doctor's odd reaction.
But, there was little time to think about it.
"Has he bored you to death yet?" Amy said with a grin from the stairway.
"Hey!" The Doctor complained as Rory laughed. "I'm the most quality entertainment out there."
Rory opened his arm for Amy to tuck herself under it. "The Doctor was just telling me how weird we humans are."
Amy gave him a look. "You're one to talk Mr Bow-Tie."
The Doctor tugged on the aforementioned accessory. "Bow ties are-."
"Bow ties are cool, right." She finished for him, rolling her eyes. "My point still stands, how exactly are we the weird ones?"
As Rory opened his mouth, the Doctor jumped in first. "Well, weird might be a strong word. Humanity is wonderful and beautiful and terrible and strange and-"
"We're ticklish." Rory interrupted. "But that was the only example he could give me so I'm not sure I-"
"Oh you're not ticklish, Doctor?" Amy asked halfway through Rory's statement, but something in her grin made The Doctor suspect she knew the answer already.
"Uh..." The Doctor rubbed his neck. "Well I... Well..."
"He said it was just a human thing." Rory offered a response, oblivious to the rising tension surrounding the Doctor.
"Is it now?" Amy took a few steps closer to the Time Lord, her face trying to seem innocent and confused. "Just humans?"
The Doctor stumbled backwards, his hands fumbling over themselves. "Well, perhaps sometimes... some Time Lords may... may be a little more uh... susceptible to uh... to things like that."
Amy continued her devastatingly slow pursuit around the console of the TARDIS, leaving Rory on the opposite side. "And would you be one of them?"
Rory finally caught on as the Doctor backed up towards him. "Wait you lied to me?!"
"Rory it was nothing personal I just-" The Doctor babbled nervously, his hands now forming a semi-protective barrier between him and his pursuer.
Amy made eye contact with her husband, that evil grin still plastered on her face. "Rory, how do we feel about liars?"
Without a word, Rory stepped behind the Doctor and hooked his arms under the Doctor's shoulders.
"Waitwaitwaitwait no!" The Doctor shrieked, wriggling in Rory's hold. "Plehease!"
"Huh..." Amy paused, an inquisitive look on her face. "Humans normally wait for the tickling to start before we start laughing... Is that a Time Lord thing too?"
The Doctor whined. "Yohou know that's not truhue!"
Rory chuckled from behind. "You're not really in a position to talk about truth right now."
The Doctor was about to argue when Amy lunged, lightly scribbling her fingernails all over the poor Doctor's torso. He inhaled sharply, the effort of containing his reactions forcing out squeaking noises.
"Seems pretty ticklish to me." Rory commented, struggling with the sudden responsibility of keeping the Doctor upright.
Amy smirked, pausing her attack. "Oh, I don't know... He's not laughing anymore, maybe he was right..."
"I'm-" The Doctor panted out. "Always... right-"
Before he even had the chance to finish there were ten fingers digging under his armpits.
His eagerness to jump at the opportunity to talk after being unable to for the last ten seconds was exactly what Amy was counting on, and the sudden unexpected attack brought out a shriek of helpless cackles from the poor Doctor.
With a grin, Amy looked up at her husband. "Now this is what I'd call ticklish."
"OHOKAY FINE FINE FIHIHINE!" The Doctor yelped in between giggles. "I'M TICKLIHISH! JUST LET ME GOHOHO!"
Rory and Amy locked eyes, smirking.
"What do you think Rory?" Amy asked, letting her fingers skitter up and down the Doctor's bony ribcage. "Have we proved our point?"
Rory hummed in thought, drawing out his response to mess with the Time Lord as long as humanly possible. "I might be convinced, but he still hasn't apologised for lying..."
"I DIHIDN'T HAVE A CHOHOHOICE!!!"
Switching to drilling her thumbs into the Doctor's hip bones in response to his claim, Amy gave him a fake-confused look. "That doesn't sound like an apology."
Rory laughed, while the Doctor scrambled to put together something that sounded like speech through his laughter. "FIHIHINE OKAHAY I'M SOHOHORRY!"
Amy withdrew her fingers as Rory guided the Doctor to the floor, letting him rest his head on Rory's leg.
"I think you're more human than you think." Rory chuckled, patting the Doctor's shoulder.
"Right." The Doctor glared up at him, but there was a hint of softness behind his eyes. "Can we go now?"
(2024) TickleTober Day 1: Harvest
- Going against the Grain
Fic Descript - Bruce agrees to help out on the Kent farm and, after an off-handed comment from Clark, he decides to see how ticklish superman actually is.
~A/N - Welcome to ticklecrowber2024!!!! (forgive the corny title hehehehehe)
We're starting off this month with a super cute superbat fic requested by an anon. While writing it I'm realising this is gonna be a pre-relationship romantic fic, so hopefully that floats your boat.
Like I mentioned on a post ages ago, I'm not aiming to write full fics for all the prompts this year to hopefully avoid burnout so I'm going into this aiming for a few hundred words - we'll see how that goes.
Hope you like it!

One of the (few) things Bruce hated about being in love with someone was the way it made him do things.
And not in a suggestive or psychological way, literally he felt compelled to gain some sort of relationship 'brownie points' to subtly prove his worth as a potential partner.
Which was how he had ended up here, about to knock on the door of Clark's farm home.
When superman mentioned needing to do some hard labour around the fields up in Kansas, Bruce found himself offering to help before he could even blink. It wasn't until Clark enthusiastically accepted that the batman fully realised what he had gotten himself into.
Mixing their work and personal lives? At Clark's house no less? Doing something that probably was effortless for Clark, but would be a significant physical strain for Bruce? What was he thinking?! He'll look like a fool...
But, as much as his brain loved to insist on how much of a bad idea this was, Bruce had resisted the temptation to cancel.
And so, he now found himself raising his fist and tapping the wooden door-frame.
"Bruce!" Clark grinned, opening the door fully.
The man was dressed so stereotypically farm-y, Bruce thought to himself. Brown leather boots half-covered by a pair of old denim jeans, topped with a plain white tee and - god he looked good in that red flannel...
"-are you... did you want to come in?" Clark chuckled.
Shit, had Clark invited him in already? Was he that distracted by the superhero in front of him that he fully disregarded any input other than the sight- wait it's happening again-
"Yes!" Bruce blurted out, interrupting his own thoughts. "Sorry, yes. Thanks."
Ugh love made him a mess.
As Clark narrated and explained his way through his humble abode, Bruce couldn't help but get stuck in his own head - again. He barely registered that they had left the house and were now walking through the wheat fields. He knew Clark was giving some really important information as to what exactly they needed to do and where they would need to do it, but it was almost as if his brain was more focused on the sound of Clark's voice than what it was actually saying.
Until Clark giggled.
Like a gunshot, Bruce locked onto the sound with unbridled curiosity. What had caused it? Would it happen again? Whatever it was clearly didn't phase Clark, as he was back to talking about whatever farmyard jargon that was interrupted earlier.
A few more moments passed, and Bruce had never been more focused on Clark's surroundings. What could possibly have made superman laugh like that? And how common of an occurrence was it if Clark didn't even acknowledged it?
Thankfully, it happened again - with Bruce watching the whole thing.
As Clark walked, a few stray spikes of wheat brushed against his bare lower forearms (where he had rolled up the aforementioned flannel). His hand twitched reflexively, and he once again let out a soft giggle at the sensation.
And, once again. Bruce's mouth moved before his brain could catch up.
"What was that?"
Clark half-turned his torso to face Bruce. "Oh, it just tickles."
Bruce flushed at the casualness of Clark's response.
"It's actually one of my favourite parts of walking through here..." Clark continued with a genuine smile. "Something so small being so intense, makes me feel soft.... alive... human..."
Only Clark could make getting tickled by a plant sound so endearing, it was almost enough to make Bruce forget the huge tidbit of Clark lore that had just been revealed to him.
Superman's ticklish??
He didn't have much time to feel the full shock of that information, as Clark was already several paces ahead of him. Bruce half-skipped to catch up, and as he did, something in his mind convinced him to snap off a piece of wheat from beside him.
As they continued their walk towards the edge of the field where they were about to begin work, and Clark continued yapping, Bruce ran his fingers over the wheat piece in his hand. Was he seriously about to try to tickle superman? Would Clark be alright with it? Would he find it weird and repulsive and never speak to Bruce again cause how could he possibly think that was a normal thing to-
stop - Bruce interrupted himself.
no overthinking
Bruce took a breath, slightly sped up his footsteps to bring himself right behind Clark, and ran the wheat stalk along the side of Clark's neck.
Clark folded with a shriek and a giggle, his smile never fading as he gave Bruce a quizzical look.
That smile was all the invitation Batman needed.
With a smirk, Bruce tackled Clark into the wheat next to them and climbed on top of his chest before frantically twiddling the wheat stem against any potentially ticklish bare skin he could find. Clark's neck, ears, collarbones - even the small patch on his tummy that was exposed from his shirt riding up as they fell - nothing was safe.
And Clark's laughter was like birdsong - it was the most free, happy, genuine giggling Bruce had ever heard. So much so, the billionaire opted to snatch another piece of wheat to use in his free hand against Clark's forearms - which were currently doing fuck-all to fight against the tickly attacks (aside from clinging to and breaking some nearby wheat stems, but Bruce theorised that was mostly for Clark to resist fighting back... cute).
After a sufficient tickling, Bruce paused - mentally checking for any signs of annoyance on Clark's face and letting the man calm down for a few moments.
"Why'd you stop?" Clark asked breathily without missing a beat, and now looking slightly disappointed.
Once again caught aback by Clark's openness, Bruce stuttered and floundered for an answer. "I... I was just... I wanted to... make sure... you..."
Clark laughed. "No need to panic, it was just a question."
Bruce chuckled, still a little embarrassed.
"You always worry so much." Superman smiled, poking Bruce's neck with one of the wheat stalks he had snatched during the tickle-attack to emphasise his point.
Bruce squeaked (though he would later insist this wasn't true), his face flushing a deep red.
"Oh?" Clark grinned menacingly, rolling himself and Bruce over to flip their positions with clearly little-to-no effort. "The dark, scary batman is ticklish too?"
oh god
And, after being thoroughly tickled, Bruce spent the entire time they worked on the farm trying to convince himself the look on his own face before Clark tickled him definitely wasn't nervous excitement, and that he definitely wouldn't give anything do it all again.
Fic Descript - Bruce and Diana claim Clark doesn't have a wicked bone in his body, so he proves them otherwise
~A/N - this was one of those fics that I wasn't 100% sure where to take it, so I kinda pulled this concept out of my ass lmao. Hope it's alright ^^

"For the Man of Steel, you really are such a softie." Bruce hummed, leaning against Clark's left shoulder and closing his eyes. Diana let out a soft chuckle from Clark's other side in agreement.
Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman had just finished a ridiculously busy day - filled with PR conferences, charity work, various patrols, and a few mild interventions on the city streets - so the trio were grateful to finally get a chance to relax together.
"What do you mean softie?" Clark raised an eyebrow. "I'm not soft."
Diana responded before Bruce had the chance to argue. "Not soft, but you're definitely the nicest of us all."
"Too nice." Bruce added with a grin, beginning to feel the irresistible temptation of annoying Clark.
Doing his best not to disturb the comfortable positions of his partners, Clark sat further upright (as if his body position would strengthen his argument). "I can be mean!"
That earnt a proper laugh from Diana. "Please, you don't have a wicked bone in your body."
There was a pause as a smirk settled on Clark's face. "Oh is that right?"
Diana was switched on enough to sense the change in Clark's tone, and tried to swiftly push herself off her human headrest, but Clark was too quick. He grabbed around her waist and tugged her underneath him, before pulling the slightly-sleepy Bruce next to her.
"Huh-?" Bruce yelped as Clark say across both his and Diana's hips.
"I know how I can prove how wicked I can really be." Clark smirked, before clawing into the ribs of the two superheroes under him.
Diana gasped, clenching her mouth shut so Clark wouldn't get the satisfaction of cracking her that easily. Both of her hands worked to pry Clark's five fingers from her side - a task that would normally be easy, but with tickling near enough halved her strength - before concentrating on defending her sensitive spots from the attack.
She had managed to interlock the fingers of one hand with Clark's, while the other gripped his wrist to push him away. While his hand didn't move much, her defense gave her enough respite to remember she had a fellow ally lying next to her.
"Bruce!" She grunted, unable to look anywhere but Clark's threatening fingers. "I've got his hand! Just grab the other!"
But, before she had even finished her sentence, she suddenly registered the bubbly laughter that had filled the room for who knows how long. And, in a moment of poor decision making, she let her eyes and her attention turn to Bruce.
The poor hero was curled up facing away from Diana, giggling his little heart out. There was barely space in his breath for him to beg Clark to let him go (and to be completely honest, based on the genuine joy in his laughter, Diana wasn't sure he even wanted to try).
Before she had the chance to roll her eyes at his uselessness, Clark escaped her (now weakened) grip and latched his thumb into her hip bone behind him.
Diana let out a shriek, her arms switching between trying to grab Clark's hand again and thumping into his upper abdomen.
"BRUHUHUCE!" She spluttered between bouts of laughter. "DO SOHOMETHING!"
"He is doing something." Clark beamed. "He's experiencing how wicked I can be."
Bruce could only cackle in response as Clark managed to worm his fingers into the man's armpit.
"And laughing..." Clark nodded seriously. "That's important too."
"YOHOU'RE UHUSELESS!" Diana elbowed the Batman, letting herself laugh a little more to make sure Bruce knew she was mostly joking.
Clark chuckled. "And...? what am I?"
Diana slapped his leg. "A JEHEHERK!"
She couldn't quite tell, but it sounded like Bruce laughed a little extra at that comment.
"Ow." Clark pouted. "That wasn't quite the response I was looking for..."
Leaving them no time for a witty retort or more helpless laughter (from Diana or Bruce respectively), Clark amped the intensity. Opting to vibrate his claw-shaped hands at an inhuman speed against Diana's stomach and Bruce's exposed back (as the poor guy had been locked in a fetal position since they started).
Bruce screeched, his back arched as far as humanly possible from the offending fingers.
"FIHIHINE YOHOU'RE EHEVIL!" Diana squealed, and at the same time a stream of incoherent begging and pleading burst from Bruce's mouth.
He tried to twist back towards his companions, hands reaching behind himself to try and grab the claw that was driving him insane.
"Mmm..." Clark pondered, still effortlessly destroying the two supers. "Not quite the wording I used."
"WIHIHICKEHED! YOUOHOU'RE WIHICKED JUST LET ME GOHOHO!" She pleaded through cackles as her hands weakly shoved at Clark's.
Bruce had returned to his original position, this time clinging onto Clark's leg as if it were his own sanity.
"Told you." Clark grinned, easily releasing Diana while keeping Bruce underneath him.
Wonder Woman took her moment to sprawl out on the floor and suck in as much oxygen as possible. Her cheeks were still frosted with a rosy glow, aching from the last few minutes of laughter.
Somehow amongst the chaos, Bruce realised Diana was free. As Clark took a little pity on the guy and swapped spots again to target his neck, Bruce took his chance.
"Diahana hehelp mehe!" Bruce gasped between squeaks and high-pitched giggles.
She scoffed playfully. "You never helped me!"
Bruce squealed as Clark went for his ears momentarily. "I cohohouldn't!"
"You could have tried..." She fake-sighed, gazing into the distance. "Besides, you know what you have to do to make him stop, seems to me you don't want him to."
The laughter-induced blush on Bruce's face took on a more pinkish tone of embarrassment, made even worse by Clark leaning down and rubbing his stubble against Bruce's neck.
"Oh, are we having too much fun?" Clark growled right into Bruce's ear, knowing the low vibrations tickled the billionaire more than he'd ever care to admit.
"Clahark plehehease!" Bruce whined, scrunching his head against Superman's. "Just lehet me go!"
"I guess there's no other option at this point, if you're going to refuse that strongly..." Clark sighed, leaning back upright and letting his hands rest on his knees.
Bruce gave him a puzzled look. Did Clark seriously just give in?
The pleading wasn't meant to work that quickly... Bruce thought to himself, too tired to catch the disappointment that was washing over his face.
Clark's tickle attacks never stop that easily...
How was he meant to know it would this time?
"Diana?" Clark grinned, gesturing to Bruce (and snapping the man out of his thoughts). "Care to help me out?"
