So…does anyone else fondly remember that weird era of mid-2000s tickle comics? You know, the kind that always had sorta odd-looking, sometimes even grotesquely ugly artwork, but still had a bizarre charm anyway? The kind that you had to sneak looks at on your desktop when no one else was around, because parents didn’t let their kids use electronics 24/7 yet, laptops were unreliable and we didn’t have smartphones? 😂 Back in the days of “Julie the Tickler” and using TMF unironically? How many of us stumbled upon this stuff as developing teens?

Now that we have Patreon, artists usually default to that kind of piecemeal/commission-based distribution model and this sort of content doesn’t exist much anymore. And I miss it, somehow. It was a very unique, very specific slice of the community.
