This wasnât the first time they played this game, no, and nor would it be their last. The ever-spinning wheel and the inconsistent gain of wealth appealed to both men and their audience. That and the friendly banter and high-pitched screams were also a perk to Wheel of Fortune. Today was no different.
âIf you spin me another bankrupt, I might actually kill you,â Dan said, staring at the man sitting beside him, loathing the sideways grin Arin was wearing. Dan knew all the bankrupts werenât his fault, no it was RNJesus who was at fault, and damn was he unforgiving today.
âIâll try to spin a bankrupt then,â Arin flashed him a big smile, causing Dan to break out into a string of giggles. Arin, having always thought Danâs laugh was endearing as fuck, continued, âAnd if you donât kill me, then Iâll spin another bankrupt. And if you donât kill me then, well Iâll be so disappointed in you. Like, that would mean my best friend is lying to me and why would you ever lie to me? Like, best friends donât lie to each other, Dan. Iâll be so disappointed in you, Iâll have Ross come in and kill me instead.â
A negative tone sounded from the TV as the bankrupt was spun. Arin turned fully to Dan, who groaned loudly through his continued stream of giggling.
âOkay, Dan,â Arin smacked his chest twice, sitting up on his knees, head titled to the side. âKill me. Just go at it. Fucking obliterate me. Donât you dare lie to me. You canât lie to your best friend, you know.â
âIâm not going to kill you,â Dan covered his mouth, not able to stop his laughter. âI was joking.â
âYou lied to me!â Arin exclaimed, throwing his arms over his head. âYou canât just lie to me! You wouldnât expect me to say Iâm going to kill you, then not do it. I would never lie to you, my best friend Dan.â
The Joy-Con for the Switch was on the floor, having bounced toward the TV once Arin sat up, hovering over Dan.
âAre you going to kill me, Dan?â Arin asked, his shadow casting ominously over Dan. âOr am I going to have to talk like this until you do?â
Arinâs voice changed into a breathy gravel, sounding almost identical to Gollum from The Lord of the Rings.
âAre you going to kill me now, Dan?â Arin panted, leaning over him, smiling at Danâs giddy laughter. âDoes this voice make you uncomfortable? Do you want me to stop? No? Well, I think your hair is looking nice today and why arenât you looking at me?! Look at me when Iâm talking to you!â
âArin, stop it,â Dan whined, feeling like he was losing his mind with each giggle and snort. âShihit. My laugh sounds so ugly.â
âWhat?â Arin said, his voice changing back to his normal one halfway through the word. âWhat do you mean your laugh sounds ugly? Your laugh is fine, what the fuck are you talking about?â
âI didnât really mean that,â Dan looked at the floor, âWe need to get back to playing.â
âBut, how can you believe your laugh is ugly? Itâs adorable and I love it so much,â Arin pushed, nearly crawling over Dan at this point, the other manâs eyes widening in confusion and mild fear. âIn fact, I want to hear it again.â
Somedays Dan hated how affectionate Arin could be. Today was one of those days.
âArin!â Dan said through his laughter, Arin having dug his hands under Danâs shirt, scratching his nails all across his ribs. He was in a very vulnerable state like this, having no place to go, his body tangled in the blanket he typically had wrapped around him during recordings, his arms completely ensnared. âStop it!â
âHow about no,â Arin beamed, loving the squeals and helpless peals of laughter he was getting. He withdrew his hands from under his shirt and wiggled them in front of his face, smiling innocently. âWhere should I tickle you next?â
âNowhere,â Dan couldnât help the giggles that escaped his lips as Arin wiggled his fingers just above his belly, hating that he was so damn ticklish there he couldnât help but giggle at the mere thought of being tickled there. âNot thehere. Arhihin!â
âIâm not even touching you,â Arin laughed, loving every second of this. âJust listen to your little laugh! Itâs so cute!â
Arin then went ahead and dug into Danâs belly, causing him to nearly scream. His legs tried to kick Arin off of him, with no avail. Dan would never admit it, not even on his last, dying breath, but he enjoyed this immensely. He didnât know why, he had never been a big fan of being tickled, but this goofy affection Arin was giving him was endearing as hell.
âAdmit that you donât hate your laugh and Iâll stop.â
âI donât hate my laugh!â Dan bucked suddenly as Arin circled his navel, causing his giggling to grow louder.
âYou donât sound very serious about this, Danny,â Arin teased, continuing the motion over and over, loving the reaction he was getting. âYou should try saying it again, but donât laugh. Itâll make you sound serious.â
âOh, fuck off,â Dan hissed through clenched teeth, regretting his words seconds later as Arin suddenly lifted his shirt, flashing him his smart ass, sideways smile. âWahait! No, Iâm sorry!â
âYou didnât have to be mean to me like that,â Arin feigned pain. âIâm sensitive, you know.â
And with that, Arin blew into his belly, causing Dan to scream, flailing his body as much as he could. His facial hair made the sensation ten times worse, Dan falling into silent laughter within seconds.
âDo you like your laugh now?â Arin teased, having let up minutes ago, letting Dan rest, catching his breath.
âYes, I do,â Dan nodded, his voice soft.
âGood,â Arin exclaimed, crawling over to his side of the couch, pumping his fist into the air. âNow, letâs complete this next time on Game Grumps!â
âThere is no fucking way any of that is going into the video,â Dan crossed his arms, sitting up at long last.
âTrue. Okay, letâs continue on with Wheel of Fortune!â
âYou need to grab the Joy-Con,â Dan pointed to the Joy-Con that was sitting on the floor, gathering dust from its hiatus.
âI know that, Dan,â Arin chided, both of them going back to their typical bickering as if nothing had happened. And, thanks to the power of technology, none of the viewers would ever know anything happened during the strange cut.
      Or would they?
