Sordid goes to Comic-con!
yesterday me and my grandmother drove to Virginia Beach to go to Tidewater Comic-Con, which explains why I couldn’t do my daily shitposting
almost the entire time my mom was annoyed by the cosplayers; there were quite a few there, obviously, so she was irritated quite often. there were a few i liked, including one for Jacket from Hotline Miami and quite a few for Steven universe like Connie and Stevonnie. there were a few fursuiters wandering around and they seemed like they were having fun too
i met this really cool comic writer named J. R. Mounts, who wrote and illustrated Fried Pickle Noir and just illustrated The Finleys. he was really cool; he actually did a sketch and wrote a pun on the inside of every comic he sold. he gave me a button as well when i got The Finleys. i was thinking of buying even more stuff from him pretty soon
my mom implored me to buy a $20 Plastic Man comic because i told her i had some other Plastic Man comics. it wasn’t even from the same series but this shit looks absolutely pristine. maybe it’ll be pretty good, iunno
i had $70 to spent there from my own savings and a few bucks from my dad. i have about $15 left, but i’m satisfied with what i did with the money
overall, Tidewater Comic-Con was pretty fun. i’m almost certain i’ll be going back next year
