Hi! I just saw you're opening prompts, so here's my prompt if you don't mind. Soulmate AU where eveyone has a spiritual animal that leads to their soulmate (like a hype tiger for Ace, a stoic phoenix for Marco, an energetic samoyed for Thatch, a regal peacook for Izou, a drunk whale for Whitebeard, etc,... or any animal you see fit). Pairing or not is your choice, because I just wish to see the whole WB family being happy. (And I really love "Tides of light and cold" and Equestrian AU).
“It’s your turn to deal with them,” Ace states, refusing to move from their bed, buried underneath all the blankets that Marco had brought to bed the night before to try and keep one of them for himself. “I’m sleeping.”
“Coherent for someone who’s sleeping,” Marco teases, grinning when Ace glares at him over the edge of a particularly fluffy blanket instead of responding. “I’ll check on them.”
Ace grumbles, shifting onto his side and closing his eyes as Marco stands, spotting both Kotatsu and Trick curled up too close and watching him as he approaches.
“Are we planning more pranks?” Marco asks when Trick tries to look innocent and fails.
“It’s not that bad,” Kotatsu says, stub of a tail moving in a way that makes Marco think of a flick, trying to look innocent. “We’re not planning anything.”
Trick doesn’t bother to deny it, she knows that Marco has already figured out that much, “We’re going to dye Thatch and Shyne yellow.”
“Trick!”
“And who were you planning to convince to help you with this? I know that you two are lacking the thumbs needed to get the dye and put it in place. Even if you are both very dexterous.”
“Deuce?”
Kotatsu hisses, “Fine tell Marco everything, why don’t you.”
Trick hits him with a wing, “Marco isn’t going to stop us. Are you, Marco?”
“No, I won’t. But,” Marco sits down and motions for Trick to spread out one of her wings. “I would suggest someone other than Deuce. He might put up with your habit of deviancy, but people are starting to get suspicious.”
“But no one else will talk to us,” Kotatsu mutters darkly.
Marco doesn’t know the details of Ace’s childhood, but he has learned enough to know that Ace wasn’t talk the rules that most people are when it comes to daemons. He didn’t touch others because he didn’t touch people much either, but Ace thought nothing of addressing someone’s daemon instead of the person. A habit that Kotatsu used often, though it made the rest of the crew avoid him.
“Well, no,” Marco agrees because Kotatsu scared people. Trick had at least figured out how to pretend normalcy. “But I happen to know that Izou is upset with Thatch, so if you mentioned needing help to Wisteria?”
“Then he’ll mention it to Izou, who will allow us to use his hands!” Kotatsu agrees excited, stub of a tail moving excited. “Wistera would be willing to help us, won’t he, Trick?”
Trick nods, “He will. Wisteria likes to pretend he’s above pranks but he’s always willing to help when we ask for something.”
“And poor Deuce won’t end up on more kitchen duty,” Marco agrees, finishing up Trick’s wing. “Do you need more? I was thinking about sleeping in a bit.”
“I think Kotatsu and I can keep out of the way,” Trick says like she thinks he’s implying something else.
“Good,” Marco yawns, already trying to decide if it’s worth stealing one of the blankets back from Ace or to grab another. “Melville might have something to help you?”
Kotatsu grumbles, “Whales splash too much.”
“That’s just Melville. Now, don’t get caught and make sure that Wisteria is the only one who can tie you to the prank. Otherwise, Izou will through you to blame without remorse,” Marco stands and resists the urge to pet Kotatsu, knowing that Kotatsu made that particular face when he wanted more. “Good luck.”
“Sleep well,” Trick whispers. “If that’s what you’re going to do.”
Did you meet Roger before of after he became Pirate King? Do you know he's a pirate?
Titles hardly meant a thing to me and back then Roger was just considered your run of the mill pirate.
But to me he’ll always be more of a jester than a king.

I’ll take it you don’t want the children to be original characters? The tricky thing about the AU is the twin must look identical, yet have different personalities. At least for MarcoAce, I don’t see any canon characters fit. Though it’s be hilarious if Marco didn’t tell his family about the other child, and when Whitebeard notices something wrong with his grandchild and finds out about the twin, the old man goes on rampage and be mad with Marco :>
I don’t. i’m not a fan of making characters when i can use canon ones to fill that place. and they’re fairly important ones too, so i think it best to take from canon, if that makes sense. I don’t mind OCs, i just don’t want them to be so plot crucial? But yeah, stealing canon ones are easy and they don’t have to be totally identical, because they were gone for the whole summer, no one is gonna notice a tan here or a new hair cut there.
i mean if Whitebeard didn’t know, he strikes me as the “i’m not mad son, just disappointed” type of man. complete with sad eyes. but i mean, worse case senario i deage people? But also, Whitebeard who is sad to only see one grandchild when he has two, would be great since he would absolutely help this crazy plan. I’ve done that with luffy alot and technically i could steal O-tama. If they’re both small, it’s possible that i could make it work, honestly.

oh my god this’s so detailed. I don’t realize the ASL have this many horses
honestly they have to have a lot. I think, if I remember correctly (and @anadiangelo will probably remember better than I) most riders that we were looking into to make sure that the number of horses were accurate for each rider, tended to have more horses than we gave each of the boys.
not to mention, the horses aren’t all the same age. They’re spaced out so that when one horse retires, they’ll have the same number of horses without a delay.
