SAMANTHA RHYS - Neighbour and best friend of Abby Clapton. Welsh socialite who moved to Vancouver in search of business. Bit of a snob, but ultimately good at heart. Welsh Foxhound. (Episode 45)
TIFFANY PHILLIPS - Another one of Abby’s friends. Decidedly at the opposite end of the economic ladder from Samantha. Generally a real nasty piece of work. Inexplicably has a Brummie accent, as a result of listening to too much Black Sabbath. Bombay Cat. (Episode 45)
THOMAS PHILLIPS - Yet another one of Abby’s friends. Son of a former munitions factory owner, now suffering from Alzheimer’s. Frequently to be found reeling Tiffany in. German Shepherd. (Episode 45)
DERMOT MULHOLLAND - Inspector with the Antares Civil Protection Authority. Frequently has trouble reasoning with criminal types. Not that good a strategist either. Sounds a bit like Rod Burton. Scotch Collie. (Episode 45)
TRINE MARDAS - Chief Commander of operations at the Tiree Outpost. On first name terms with pretty much everyone on the station. Sounds a little like Jane Tucker. Golden Retriever. (Episode 45)
MAGNUS VISTE - Chief Security Officer at Tiree Outpost. Makes sure everything’s running smoothly and safely. Constantly at odds with Inspector Mulholland. Sounds uncannily like Freddy Marks. Brown Fox. (Episode 45)
VLADIMIR SPEKTOR - Formerly the leader of a notorious syndicate of space pirates. Got screwed over and thrown out under unknown circumstances. Trying to strike out on his own, with limited success. Ferret. (Episode 45)
KEVIN CARLSON - Commander of the Stellar Federation’s operations within Canada. Commander Barratt’s opposite number, and is basically to him what Captain Darling was to Blackadder. Raccoon. (Episode 46)
