OFFF x Moritz – Car
We are really excited to showcase Craig Black latest project named ‘Barcelona’ in collaboration with design festival OFFF and Barcelona based beer brand Moritz.
OFFF x Moritz – Car
Barcelona
OFFF Design Festival hosts innovative and international talents to share their insightful experiences. It’s the key meeting point for all creative talents around the world to unite and collaborate in Barcelona.
OFFF teamed up with festival partners and beer brand Moritz by collaborating with event speaker and lettering artist Craig Black to produce an eye-catching lettering installation at the festival. OFFF attendees and the Barcelona community witnessed a live painting session in the OFFF Outdoor Fun Zone by Craig customizing the iconic 600 car model showcasing Moritz’ values and modern senses mixed with OFFF’s endless creative vibes during the festival’s duration.
The lettering design for ‘Barcelona’ was first hand-lettered in pencil on paper to be then brought in to digital to fit the scale of the car. The concept was then transferred on to the car using a carbon transfer technique to then hand paint the lettering and various illustrative markings using various paint pens. The design was inspired by the vibrancy and excitement of the festival and Barcelona as a whole. The design became a landmark throughout the festival for attendees and the public alike.
Quote from Craig Black – Lettering Artist “It was incredible to be a part of this amazing design festival as an event speaker and live painting artist. To be able to create a lettering installation on the iconic 600 car was a fantastic experience and it was thoroughly enjoyable to work with OFFF and Moritz to bring this concept to life. What excited me most was the interaction with the attendees of the festival and the public while I was painting the car. The response was incredible and it was great to see how it puts a smile on people’s faces. As much as it was enjoyable, I did run into some certain challenges such as the rain on day one which delayed the painting and therefore I had to ask for some help from the amazing Tina Touli and friends to help me get it over the line in time. In all, it was a fantastic project to work on.”
Quote from Nathalie Koutia – OFFF Communications Director “Craig did a wonderful job on painting the Moritz famous 600 car. From the feedback, we had in person and on social media, everyone really enjoyed watching Craig bring this concept to life, it was certainly a highlight of this year’s festival”

Storm Area SPCM - They Can’t Stop Us All!
Anyone remember a couple of months ago, when I made that announcement regarding Geddes Line?
Thought not, but I just thought I'd just remined everyone that the first episode, aptly titled The Story So Far, will be published a week from now, on both deviantART and FictionPress!
Fun fact: Normally when I publish each season of 'SPCM', I tend to have only five or six episodes actually in the can by the time the first one goes out. This time, however, having been writing 'GL' since the beginning of 2019, I'll have finished nineteen episodes by the 27th, with a twentieth halfway through production on that date.

IT’S MY BIRTHDAY
Woo!
Thanks to a generous bit of remuneration from the Independent Living Fund, I’ve just got myself a new graphics tablet and Adobe CC subscription. So I thought I’d try it out by tracing this older drawing I did of my fursona. The drawing above was done on the tablet in Photoshop. The drawing below was done in Inkscape with a keyboard and mouse. The difference is staggering, needless to say.
Welcome to the SPCM Blog!
People of the Earth (and surrounding districts), welcome to the official Space Pirate Captain MacTaggart blog and website! We hope you’ll enjoy your visit to this site, run and maintained by the creator of the series himself, Craig Black. Here you can find out about the characters, read their stories, and keep up with the latest developments. There’s also bound to be lots of other random stuff that we post whenever it takes our fancy.
Whether this is your first time visiting our site, or you’ve been here before, we want to make sure you have the most enjoyable and convenient experience possible, so apart from this blog, there are seven pages you can access:
THE STORY This page gives you the general gist of the whole story of SPCM, and tells you what to expect should you choose to go further.
THE HEROES Here you can find out more about the heroes of our story, from Captain MacTaggart herself to members of her crew, and other friends besides them.
THE VILLAINS Here you can find out more about the main villains of our piece, from Commander Barratt of the Stellar Federation, to Princess Midori of the Empire.
THE MECHA This page showcases some of the starships and other craft which play a vital role in the story of SPCM - along with a fair few others that don’t.
THE PLANETS This page showcases just a handful of the planets and moons encountered on our journey through the series - again, including a few which don’t actually appear.
THE EPISODES The real meat of the site comes in the form of this page, which features links to each episode in the series, and also includes a comprehensive of every episode.
THE PRODUCTION CREW Finally, we have a section detailing some of the people most prominently involved in the production of the series.
Once again, we hope you enjoy your visit to this site, and we look forward to you visiting again in the future.
JUST ONE FINAL, REALLY IMPORTANT WARNING! While SPCM is not written with any specific age group in mind, it most definitely ISN’T for kids! We’re talking stuff like
Dangerous or easily-imitable behaviour
References to alcohol, drugs, and the usage thereof
Strong language (and I don’t just mean Alasdair’s accent!)
Sex and nudity, and references to them (I stop short of actually showing anything, but it does get rather close at times)
Gratuitous and graphic violence (again, nothing too extreme, but still pretty bad in places)
Generally, some pretty horrific shit
Oh, and the Midori Empire are pretty much Space Nazis, so if that sort of thing puts a knot in your stomach, there’s your warning
Just to be clear, the exact NSFW-factor tends to vary from episode to episode, and while it does frequently push the boundaries of good taste and suitability, I’ve always made the point of never making it any more adult than I would feel comfortable writing. That being said, if anyone else feels offended by anything I’ve written, you have every right to be - this warning is just for you to know what you’re letting yourself in for.
Also, if you’re a child and you’re just coming across this, maybe wait a few years before you check it out? And if you’re a parent, and you discover your child reading this, FLING YOURSELF AT THEIR DEVICE AND TURN IT OFF AS QUICKLY AS YOU CAN! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!
Right, with that warning out of the way, please feel free to explore the rest of the site, and enjoy this crazy world that we’ve been building up all these years.
