#TIFF19 Closing Night Gala: World Premiere of RADIOACTIVE starring Rosamund Pike and directed by Marjane Satrapi. Radioactive is the story of Marie Curie, the two time Nobel prize winner for her discovery of Radium and Polonium. The discovery that had great benefits like radiation therapy but also that of the atomic Bomb. This is a Story of genius and story of love. It is a story of a unflinching and uncompromising woman played by Rosamund Pike from Gone Girl fame. It may be a period piece and biopic but director Marjane Satrapi uses interesting sequences to educate the audience on the scientific and political ethics of that period. Frankly, It isn’t the most entertaining movie but it is educational and I’m happy to have learned about such a influential historical woman.
