You heard it all before. Be The Cure or Interpol, maybe Editors or better yet Joy Division but there’s something sincere and haunting when you listen to Ramón pleading to ‘Soothe me, Lie to Me’. His voice has a clearness that is somewhat in contrast with his low register and that is what sets him apart. Even when screaming, it feels controlled and full of light. You may find yourself waiting and hoping for the cracks to show up, for the pain to break the notes but it’s all in the lyrics. All the emotions and darkness that Jon at the guitar and Ludwin at the bass are conveying in such a powerful way, are reflected by each word. Certainly, being able to witness Tiger Pilots in an intimate venue such as the foyer of the Sugar Factory feels like a special treat, but we cannot wait for a whole list of gigs where the four can showcase the new material recorded for their first EP with even more force. ‘Brace yourself ‘cause here it comes’.
