It happened rather quickly, he almost didn’t have more than a second or two to react. Where had the footsteps been? The noise advancing closer? All he could hear were the sounds of steady breathing and clothes rustling. His arms had reached out the second he’d turned when he did hear how close the noise was and when she came falling from the not-so-proverbial sky, he braced himself based on preemptive strike and caught her as gently as he could. It startled him, truly, nearly sending him off balance and into the ground before he pushed his leg back to steady himself. Was she hurt? Where did she fall from? He couldn’t smell any blood so if she was, it was only minor. There was no telling where she fell from since he couldn’t map it out with sight, so he didn’t even bother thinking on that for more than a second. His only real thought was on his concern for if she was alright or not.
“Excuse me, miss? Are you alright?” Worry laced throughout his tone, he was fairly careful on how he was holding her. The prosthetic limb gently wrapped around her shoulders as the remaining opposite was lightly left cradling her knees. He could hear her breathing, it didn’t sound too laboured or distressed so he wasn’t panicking about her well being, but it wasn’t every day that a woman just fell from the sky after all. And judging by the force of impact, it hadn’t been a few feet off a wall or something. “I can’t see you, so please inform me if you have any injuries.”

His strength would faintly return. A quick twitch of the finger, plus a check of his vitals would confirm the restoration of life to the once fallen Arrancar. His corpse was recovered from the wreckage of the Fake Karakura Town grounds, that the Soul Society had so brilliantly composed. His restful eyes hesitated to open. a certain scene plagued his conscious, the final slash. His death was certainly sealed, or so he thought. Curiosity and uncertainty led his eyes to open once more. Bright lights, surgical equipment and other miscellaneous nik-naks greeted Starrk into a new world. However, he wasn’t alone, a stoic nurse and a mad scientist greeted him back from dead as well. The scientist seemed ecstatic at the specimen’s return, opposed to the Starrk himself. Once lifeless digits trailed along the hairs of his chin, as he pondered what happened after his defeat. Nevertheless, the scientific duo would eventually leave the room and that was his chance. Unbinding his restraints, he shortly found himself outside the laboratory, dazed and still confused. Regardless, he wandered through the feudal world for quite a while without detection. However, he soon found himself face to face with another Shinigami, a Fukutaichou if he was not mistaken. The Espada would wait for the other to acknowledge him first, as he waged his options.

“Hey, close your eyes.” Hands held behind his back, he’d only just arrived but immediately went about seeking her out first. He didn’t budge a muscle until he was certain her eyes were closed, tucking something behind her ear and then placing the rest of what was hidden in her palms. “They resembled sunflowers,” he began, the alien flora similar to the flowers she liked in shape but the colours were much more vibrant in their crystalline hues and the petals in more abundance. “I figured you might like them.” So he’d gone about ensuring they were okay to be collected and preserved them until he got back to see her.
