       “ i’m not ----- okay, listen here, you ---- ” chandler is clearly distressed by the question; cheeks are burned a furious red, simply because he’s embarrassed. yet... the idea of a piggy back ride... sounds fun, that he cannot deny. he’s just been put in a position where he has come to be very aware of his own size and he doesn’t like that. but... piggy back ride. his mind has been made before he’d even started. 

       “ okay, yeah, i want a piggy back ride. ”

     Elliot is quiet for a moment as he considers what hunter has said. he doesn’t really know how to respond to that, really. it’s a nice gesture, but the only thing that’s going through elliot’s mind right now is the lord of the rings. “ ...so are we goin’ on an adventure ? ye can ‘ave me axe ? ” and of course, that’s exactly what comes out of his mouth. it’s not what he wanted to say; not how he wanted to react, but the words were already out of his mouth and it was much too late to take them back. he clears his throat. “ uh ---- but thank ye. i, uh... i appreciate it. same ta you. ”

   for a moment, he feels like his HEART STOPPED. eyes blink, trying to regain his focus. a smile breaks out across his face, shaking his head then. “HUNTER, you don’t gotta THANK ME for shit like that.” he reaches forward then, taking the others hands into his, pulling him close. 

   “you’re EASY t’ love. it - it feels RIGHT, y’know?? meant to be, or whatever. I LOVE YOU. it ain’t a chore. it’s - it’s NATURAL.”

GOD, he looked beautiful. his breath catches a moment, he’s NERVOUS. doesn’t want to move things too fast. but he couldn’t help it. hand reaches forward, cupping the others cheek. he leans in, pressing a soft kiss to the corner of his mouth. gentle, hesitant. he doesn’t want to be too much.

     “you’re special, hunter. REALLY FUCKIN’ SPECIAL. don’t - don’t forget that.”
