Daily life at the Agape Mision Mundial shelter in the eastern part of Tijuana, México on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Agape is one of the few shelters not closed to migrants during the COVID-19 pandemic. The shelter is independently run by private donations not through the municipality of Tijuana. Migrants do not venture out of the shelter unless they have an appointment to deal with legal immigration issues like seeking asylum (this is to avoid contagion of the coronavirus for both migrants staying at Agape and for residents who live near by). The majority of the migrants at the shelter wait for appointments to deal with their situation, some stuck in limbo hoping to resolve their immigration status to enter the United States. Most appointments are either postponed or very slowly given to the migrants, especially since all immigration has essential been stopped by the Trump Administration since the start of the pandemic. — #everydayeverywhere #everydaymigration #everydaymexico #photojournalism #fotoperiodismo #documentaryphotography #everydaycovid19 #everydaycoronavirus #covid19 #coronavirus #migration #usmexicoborder #frontera #onassignment #fronterizo #tiijuana #tijuanamexico #mexico #vidacotidianamx #everydaylafrontera #everydaysocialjustice #everydaylatinamerica #mycoronaphoto (at Agape Mision Mundial) https://www.instagram.com/p/CA_N5eZljjeItUzrVEOo-EvgSuIII3cGKgnDnY0/?igshid=1guwlzn62kbse
