Who are you?
Good question! I’m a twenty-one year old American girl living and studying in Adelaide, South Australia. I’m also ridiculously short and pretty nerdy.
What are you studying?
I’m a full time student in my last semester of a Bachelor of Computer Science.
How short is “ridiculously short”?
5’1”.
How nerdy is “pretty nerdy?”
That’s probably underselling it really. I’m a freelance software developer. I enjoy and frequently partake in all manners of video, board, and card games, including weekly D&D sessions. I manage social media and coordinate events for a video game bar in Adelaide. I attend conventions, sometimes in cosplay. Recently I’ve gotten really into Super Smash Bros. as well as into the SA Smash Community. I’m “pretty nerdy” the way warp speed is “pretty fast.”~
"Tilderina"?
Yeah, well. For a while I was going by “Myrina” which is the name of an Amazonian queen (and also my D&D character at the time). Since it was too long for my Smash profile, I shortened it to “~Rina”. ~Rina when spoken sounds like a combination of tilde and ballerina which I really liked.
Also I tend to use a lot of tildes when I’m textually talking to people. I just generally like the way they look and the ever so slight way they change the tone of a sentence.~
So basically it’s a combination of tilde, Myrina, and ballerina.
