So apparently there is this bill that snuck in the proposal for next year’s budget in the US, and it basically says that anyone who uses copyrighted music on the internet goes to jail, eliminating the Fair Use act and potentially putting millions of people in jail, and this is including myself, some of my friends, and has a particular focus on anyone who livestreams with copyrighted music in the background, and it looks like this could have bipartisan support, so please if you care about not getting yourself in jail, let alone anyone else, please rally against this bill.
