For the handful of people who watch From, after seeing the way the Man in Yellow talked to Jim ("I've always liked you, you always tried so hard", etc.) it seems like he has posed as other people in town before. He clearly likes to get a front row seat to the misery he causes and he might like to purposely press on sore spots to ingratiate himself, like getting Kenny attached to Sophia with her grief over losing a parent plus the trailer for the next episode has her riling Julie up. Are there past characters who made a habit of this? Tilly is an obvious possibility. I feel like she'd been written off as a red herring after nothing came of her behaviour, but maybe not! She was planting ideas in Elgin's head and questioning Fatima about her pregnancy. Are there other characters who could fit this? I really need to rewatch cause I'm forgetting so many details.
