ngl I feel insecure about being a tim fan. doesn't it get to you how so many people say he's boring, pointless, not as unique as other robins? I fear his time has long passed and we're not get anything good from him anymore while the other robins will prosper 💔

yeah I get that, I've been there. but I think that many people who are fans of any popular character (which Tim is) feel like that sometimes. it makes me sad when people are dismissive of him, but I think part of being a fan is accepting that people will not always like the things you like.

This all being said, I don't think that we won't get anything new from him. Many DC writers and artists are fans of Tim and are interested in exploring his character! Batman (2025) #2, for example, is about him! we just need to keep showing the love and his time will come again <3

I know like nothing about planes but I remember you posting about graduating from pilot school a while back and I was like omg… that’s so cool…

All of which is to say, a penny for some plane facts? I can’t really ask specifics but I’d love to hear whatever facts you keep in your pocket for amateurs :D

hehehe. i gotta be honest tho, my brain froze from excitement for a hot minute there- but here’s what i got off the top of my head!

- commercial jets are designed to sustain flight with only one engine running

- flight crew undergo recurrency training every 6 months where they review emergency procedures and other standard operating procedures. they also get checked for their flying proficiency yearly!

- most accidents occur during the takeoff and landing phases (bc of the high workload and stress during these parts of the flight)

- cabin crew also usually dim the cabin lights so passengers’ eyes are well adjusted to ambient light in the event of an emergency

- the airbus beluga wasn’t always called that. it was officially, initially, called the super transporter. beluga was a popular nickname for the plane that airbus eventually adopted!

- the first engine used for an aircraft only generated 12 horsepower

i also personally think the coolest airline callsign i’ve encountered so far is “starwalker” which belongs to starlux from taiwan!
