Tim Marvin @thecountryfucker @glorvibe @taureauessence * aka Trim Marvlin and Glor Coats) is a predator. He uses this platform to find young women seeking validation and approval, lovebombs them with attention, and then grooms them to become emotionally dependent on him. He begins a sexual relationship with them (he is in a married monogamous relationship, to the best of my knowledge), either through sexting or IRL, while keeping them dependent on him - forcing himself into the center of their world so they always feel the need to please him through their actions, interests, wardrobe etc. Their blogs change. They change. And when the relationship ends, they look around and realize they’ve lost themselves working to please him and dedicate every ounce of their energy and attention to him.
I know all of this because I was one of those women. I’ve spoken to 2 other women on this platform who have had similar experiences. I’m not posting this to engage in a conversation with Tim, and I’m not looking for an apology or retribution. I believe in his heart of hearts, Tim is a good person, but one who is deeply insecure and takes those insecurities out on other people.
I’ve been afraid to share this story because I was scared and ashamed. Tim has a lot of power on this platform, and speaking out felt like a huge risk. I have no desire to hurt Tim, but I do think it’s important for this information to be shared so that his behavior doesn’t continue, and so that more young women do not become his victims. I want the people who idolize Tim as a Tumblr influencer to understand the true way he uses his power here, and to make sure that behavior stops. ___________ * after I posted this, Tim started using some different names online, so I’m updating this post to include those as well
