Why Vagrant Queen is just what I need on this forever-long Quarantine:
✅ Very attractive Black/POC lady lead who has clearly been putting in the work to kick ass on screen.
✅ A broody and bratty backstory
✅ Quirky, smart ship engineer who does not appear to be an insipid damsel in distress
✅ A bearded Tim Ronzon playing it for laughs
✅ Campy cgi
✅ Comic-book violence and absurdity
✅ Overt sexual tension/flirtation between lady co-stars
✅ Woman showrunner
✅ Karaoke battles
Listen, this show is not going for the heavy lore and seriousness of Star Trek or BSG. This is some fun and silly Firefly, Galaxy Quest, Flash Gordon (1980) type fun. And it is right up my alley and what I need at the moment.
Have I mentioned that Adriyan Rae is easy on the eyes. 😍
