Being Impulsive || Mina & Allen
She sat at the cheap plastic table inside Track 9 Pizzeria in district three, sort of at a loss as to how she even ended up there in the first place. She met Allen in town a day or so before and like she usually did with boys she decided to flirt...except this time she actually took it further and asked him out. She sighed as she flipped through the contents of her purse, she had arrived half an hour early so it wasn't like she had much to do.
She pulled out her phone and checked the time, her rummaging had only eaten up a minute...which was disappointing but also encouraging because it meant that she was a minute closer to her date arriving. Her date...concern and worry seeped into her bones, had she made a mistake? Was she doing this for the right reasons or was this to spite her mother? Would he even care? That last question brought about a sense of relief, of course not he seemed like a nice boy and Minako Aino was most certainly not the sort of girl boys, let alone nice boys got serious about. They were just having fun, that was it.
She began to mindlessly make origami cranes out of the napkins from the metal dispenser on the table. She wondered if maybe she'd have time to make a proper flock of them, or better, one thousand so she could get a wish. She crossed her legs underneath her ochre coloured skirts, enjoying the swishy sound she made while also feeling a bit weird that she wasn't wearing heels. Without the usual added six inches she was much shorter than usual, she laughed, at the very least that should be a conversation starter.
She began to stack the birds when she noticed the sound of the door opening, she turned around, both hands on the back of the chair she leaned foreword, catching her date's eye. "Where were you handsome, you kept me waiting," she said with a playful wink. She didn't really know whether he was early, late or right on time since she had lost so much time making the birds, which now littered the table.
