Literally what reason is there for landlords to ask for photos of myself that isn't incredibly skeevy. What, you wanna make sure I'm pretty enough to fit in with the housemates? Wanna see if I'm white enough? Look cis and straight enough? If I have any visible disabilities? Wanna decide if you like me enough to let me rent your overpriced room based on visual vibes instead of making me go homeless? Give me a break.

Without watching the German Naruto OP…I’m gonna have to go with that. And no, I am not gonna watch it because a) 99.999% of German dubs suck beyond measure, and b) I am very very prone to secondhand embarrassment when it comes to stuff like this. So, to protect my own dignity, I will not watch it but I can absolutely say that one is way more cursed than Sekke’s “yeehaw”.
Been seeing an influx of people lately following me for fandom stuff I haven’t posted about in ages…like, don’t get me wrong, I’m happy you’re here, but you’re gonna be so disappointed.
You know what’s awesome about the Shadow of the Fox books? Yumeko travels with three hot guys, right. And like, Tatsumi is her obvious love interest. But you know what’s amazing? The fact that the other two dudes are never once painted as rival love interests.
Like, the heroine’s allowed to just have guy friends? With no messy feelings or one-sided crushes involved? It would’ve been so easy to make Okame or Daisuke fall for her too but instead we get Yumeko and Okame sharing a brain cell and Daisuke who lets them both get away with anything. It’s almost like a, dare I say it…[inhales deeply]
FOUND FAMILY?!
(And then there’s the whole bit where the other two guys are not only not framed as love interests, but Julie Kagawa does what only AO3 dares to do and pairs them up. Iconic.)
Getting a bit cranky every time someone reblogs that "Me thinking up plot/me thinking up characters" post with advice like "Make a character-driven plot! Different characters want different things and boom, conflict and plot" because I understand they mean well but also. I know. That's not enough. It's a premise, not a whole storyline. And it still doesn't help me with the plotting stuff I actually struggle with, such as:
I know I need to develop this relationship in that way but how do I do that without getting boring?
How do I get from plot point A to plot point B in a way that makes sense?
I need these characters to meet but I have no clue how to do that because they're presently in different countries and have no reason to go abroad
I want to do both this and that, but they contradict each other
Settings??? What the hell is a setting?
There's some kind of mystery here, the problem is that I myself don't know its solution

I know what's supposed to happen in this story, but it's not enough material so now I need to make up subplots or something
I got a beginning and an ending. Now I just need a middle part that somehow connects the two.
TL;DR: I can come up with a premise. It's the nitty bitty story logistics that give me all the headaches. And sadly "who wants what, now you have conflict" isn't enough to solve them.
I’ve written a lot in all my years online, but there’s exactly one (1) published line I completely and wholeheartedly regret.
This garbage.
Mostly because to date everyone on Wattpad comments on it like “OMG fujoshi!!!” “The nurse is one of us!” “She ships it too!” “Fujoshi fujoshi fujoshi” and I gain a new wrinkle on my face every time. I was sixteen when I wrote this and it shows. Please. Please. Put it where my old shame belongs and let it die already.
Some People™: Ohmygod stop making everything gay, sometimes two characters are JUST FRIENDS, stop forcing your ships on everything!
Also Some People™: This male and female character just looked at each other, they're SO in love! Did you see that? They're basically canon! #MyShipIsSailing 💕
Know what gag always gets me? Character tries to use a word, can’t get it right despite several tries, and uses a much simpler one instead. It’s such a stupid, simple concept but it’s ALWAYS funny.
