Part one of my own take of the art style swap challenge! I probably botched all five but art is art ;]
Tempus corruptionem
An obsidian veil cast before me. The shadowy flames of a hell of my own design striking at my very soul as I step closer to the threshold of my own demise. With each breath it seems an eternity passes without the world ever turning. The home inside my mind isolated from the world that I once shared with a damnable notion called love. I reach my scorched hand out and take the veil in my grip as best that my scarred muscles will allow. I turn it back only to find more darkness.
It is a blistering cold, but it is far more inviting than any heat. This. Oh this. A world where I can mold and adapt. Some days breathing is all you need to do to be ok. I envelope myself in this shroud of darkness as I make a new home for myself amidst the cold wastelands in the farthest reaches of my soul. Solace for the price of pain. I would never burn again, the constant sting of the cold against my flesh would be a reminder to stay here. To erect a wall where the flames had been. To smother them away and gaze at the stars above the snow. A monster in the making, one molded from cold and pain. One that knew hunger and the pain that awaited him on the other side of the wall. Ever more ravenous with each passing day, itching for the next hunt. Anything to break my mind away from the memories that still burn my soul deep where the icy climate could never reach.
