A little tase of Nexus Point...

Sawyer fell back into a fitful sleep only to wake later feeling worse than before as wet, sharp needle-like pain engulfed every inch of his body. Too weak to protect himself from the explosions of fire repeatedly assailing him, Sawyer cried out with nothing more than forced air escaping dry lips.
The bones in his upper arms felt as if they were shattering as tight clamps squeezed them, pulling his body upward. Before him stood the short man with diamond eyes, and he held things Sawyer could not identify. The items simply hovered in space where one would imagine hands would be. And instead of feet, there were empty buckets. This man, and the brute squad holding him upright, all still glowed a faintish yellow-red.
Sawyer’s mind was still compromised by the sedative. And his scan-tacts were dried out and useless. He couldn’t tell the difference between an aura and a torchlight glow. Damaged by lack of moisture, he knew he would have to get rid of his scan-tacts before they stuck to his eyeballs. He dropped his head and let it hang forward. Pale and tinged blue, and dripping with water, a body stretched downward to where two white feet contrasted starkly against the dark ground.
It took Sawyer several seconds to recognize it as his own body, and when he did, a flushing heat ignited in his stomach. He was naked. The fire inside him spread to all his limbs and he wanted nothing more than to lash out and fight.
His head was yanked upright by someone pulling his hair, and while naked and trembling, the strange diamond-eyed man scrubbed Sawyer with a brush from head to toe. Harsh bristles scratched every inch and crevasse of his body until he was raw.
“You must be cleaned,” said Diamond-Eyes. “Despite what that imbecile Mercier thinks, this must be done. I can’t have you falling ill. Hold still.”
With Sawyer’s skin burning and streaked with thin lines of fresh blood, Diamond-Eyes dried him with a coarse towel that agitated Sawyer’s already sensitive skin. Each of his limbs were then forcefully thrust into either the sleeves of an oversized white shirt or into the leg holes of stiff leather pants that weren’t his own.
When Diamond-Eyes was done, he held Sawyer firmly by the chin and turned his head left and right as he scrutinized him. “You are a surprise, but one that I’ve realized I can use to my advantage.”
Sawyer’s chin was roughly let go and he was deposited back on the ground.
