Diana traveling in time to meet her parents again (fluff overload) ❤️
Oh my god yes! Hope you like this!
Diana sometimes had time walking accidents. They didn't happen often, but she had ended up in 1915 France which wasn't where one should be.
"Oh, thank god. I'm just in Madison." She breathed a sigh of relief. She could just have Sarah help her get back.
She walked up the path to her house. She couldn't see Tabitha lounging outside as usual and there was a small sparkly bike resting outside.
"Aunt Sarah?" Diana called out. Instead two people answered the door and Diana gasped in shock.
Two people who looked so much like her. Her dad in his corduroy jacket and trousers, her mom dressed a little more era approriate in a dress and blazer.
....
"1981?" Diana looked around in astonishment.
"Right now, you're visiting Sarah and Emily and you're five years old." Stephen explained with a chuckle.
"It's just so... wow!" Rebecca looked at her with fascination, "You're so beautiful!"
Diana laughed, "Well, I get told I look a lot like you."
"This the first time you've timewalked?" Stephen asked with interest as he handed her a mug of tea.
"Uh, no. I get accidents, sometimes. But I can do it intentionally too. The first time I went back to 1590."
"1590?" He looked proud.
"I actually saw you there, but it's..." Diana began excitedly.
"No, you mustn't tell us too much." Rebecca warned gently. Telling a seer and a timewalker their futures wasn't ideal.
"Sorry."
"Elizabethean England? That would be really good for a paper." Stephen mused to himself and Rebecca whacked him with a tea towel. Diana laughed. This was how she remembered her mom and dad. Playful, happy.
"Can I show you a little bit?" Diana asked hesitantly.
She pulled out her iPhone from the back of her pocket. They looked at it strangely.
"Uh, mobile phone." She explained. She pulled up the gallery and the album titled family. "I have a family."
"Are they yours?" Rebecca asked with a smile, looking at the picture of the twins. Diana nodded.
"Rebecca and Philip." Rebecca smiled at that especially.
"Who's the lucky guy?" She pointed at a picture of Matthew holding the twins.
Diana smiled, thinking about Matthew, "Matthew de Clermont."
They both raised their eyebrows, "You've been spending a lot of time with your aunts, haven't you?" Stephen joked, "Are the two of you... happy?"
Diana nodded. She didn't know how much to reveal about the Congregation or Knox or the Covenant. A part of her was tempted to warn them.
"Who are they?" Rebecca asked, looking at a picture of Marcus, Phoebe and Jack with the twins, all laughing.
"Marcus and Jack are our sons, Matthew's blood. Phoebe is Marcus' fiancée. She's human." Diana explained with a smile.
"You have a beautiful family." Rebecca praised, "That's all we wanted."
"I miss you guys." Diana whispered, "So, so much." The three hugged tightly.
"Alright, kiddo. It's time to get you back." Stephen said.
"Dad..." Diana whined slightly.
"I'm assuming you know the consequences, young lady of timewalking." He said sternly. Diana pouted slightly.
"The puppy dog eyes don't work now, they certainly don't work when you're 36." Rebecca added.
Stephen helped her with weaving a new spell, to help stabilise her timewalking.
"Your weaving is a lot better than mine."
"I had help." Diana shrugged, "I'm sorry you were alone."
When she arrived back in the present, it had been two hours since she'd left.
"Diana? Where have you been?" Matthew asked and she hugged him happily.
"Home. I went home."
