Even if the popularity of our creations are a bit different, I guess we’re still young and experimenting. Who knows, maybe when I’ve increased my potential we can collaborate? It’s not uncommon for people of different regions to communicate with each other.
Wait.. You said “look alike”... How is that even possible, I mean look at that size difference! Hahaha! I think he’s even more active than I am! HAHAHAHAAAAAA! I’M LAUGHING SO HARD MY SIDES HURT! HAhaaaaa!!!!!!!!
This is probably somewhat out of topic for this blog, but I thought it was worth asking here: do you happen to know where one can find RAWs of the Pokemon Horizon manga, the Gen VII one starring the kid and a Rockruff? I'd like to read it but have only seen the prologue and two chapters online, and it's apparently gonna last more than one volume.
This is actually the first time I’ve heard of this. Sorry, but I do not know where to find RAWs. :c
I was rereading the XY arc recently, but I can't help but notice how while it's still great it feels rather rushed compared to past Chapters with a lot of events happening with very little pause (like Veevee coming out of nowhere). Considering what happened with B2W2 and how the authors have to be ready for a new game coming and a new arc taking place, do you think we have to expect all next arcs to seem rushed? I did like the past chapters' pace better, but I also worry about their health...
It’s hard to tell. But they should probably get some assistants or something to help out. It would definitely keep some of the pressure off of them a bit.
Hmmm, this is mostly an idea after the previous question, but given Keldeo is apparently named 'Keldemaru', maybe Lack's nickname theme is to add 'maru' at the end of the names? This way it'd make sense not nicknaming Dewott given it's called 'Futachimaru' in japanese.
...oh yeah. O: I forgot about that. That makes more sense then. xD
This is a bit of a personal opinion question, but with the XY arc now properly ended (at least until the numbered volumes hit), what are the arcs that ended in the most satisfying manner overall?
In my personal opinion, the following arcs ended satisfyingly for me:-R/G/B-Yellow-GSC-DPPt-XY
I won’t go into specifics into why I enjoyed those endings overall since I’m kinda tired right now, but I’ll just leave it like that.
I am curious, which chapter of Special would you say was the strongest overall? And which one the weakest/most lackluster/disappointing?
I can’t speak for everyone on which chapter was the best/worst, but I can at least give my opinion on it.
I would say that the best chapter, in my opinion, is tied between the Yellow and Diamond/Pearl arc. I liked how, despite having most game-related content already covered in the Red/Green/Blue arc, Kusaka managed to incorporate new story elements to what was already shown. It really made the story seem unique, especially compared to later third version/remake chapters (I’ll get to that later.) I also like the Diamond/Pearl arc because the characters were awesome and we got to see each of our protagonists develop nicely. They had the courage to face all odds because they had each other, and yeah while it sounds corny, I tend to really like that kind of dynamic. I could say more, but I think i’ll leave it at that.As for the worse chapters…..I want to say that so far every single remake chapter had been a disappointment, but I think HG/SS is the worst out of the three. Part of why I’m not too keen on the remake arcs is because of how the story is presented. Because almost all the content (barring any new mechanics or events in remakes) was covered in the original chapters, it gets difficult to write another chapter with the same characters when they’ve already gotten a lot of character development in previous chapters. This creates a situation where more often than not, quite a bit of their characterization gets downplayed in these newer chapters. It probably would have been better to have created new characters experiencing similar and newer situations from our previous protagonists, but I understand that it would have been a lot to work with over a chapter that would only truly cover minor changes in the game’s overall plot.
I tend to compare most of the remake arcs with the Yellow arc because the Yellow arc, in my opinion, should be how the remake arcs are approached: New characters in the same setting as our previous protagonist facing different threats as they go on a journey through already familiar places, all while also experiencing new threats and challenges that the others did not face. I might be too critical when it comes to things like this, but it’s something that happens when a favorite game is remade and you become disappointed when one of your favorite adaptations of said game isn’t able to deliver the same kind of excitement.Anyway, that’s my opinion on the matter.
Hey, I was wondering something: I'm Italian, and as such our Special releases are spotty at best (we only got the earliest rounds way back in the 90s-early 00s I think and only of the RGB arc, and recently the whole BW arc). I'd like to read the Viz translation given I've heard it's much better than Chuang Yi's, but trying to buy physical volumes online is rather costly. Is there any legal channel to read Viz's Special online? Or at least buying the volumes at a good price? Thanks in advance!
Hello!Unfortunately I don’t know where to view them legally online. I remembering hearing that some of the volumes were available digitally somewhere, but I can’t remember where or if that was even real.As for how to get the volumes physically for cheaper, I don’t really know either. :c sorry.
