On Tuesday we look at animatoin we watch 4 different animatoin and we had to make notes on how they made us feel and then compare them the other ones
By Jan Svankmajer
The first one we watch was a animatoin call "Darkness light darkness" by Jan Svankmajer it about 7 and half minutes long the theme of the video was dreamism isolation was very nightmarish as the mood was overall creepy with really body parts like brains so you wouldn't want your little kid watching it I do feel like I was comedic at times it wasn't all creepy and lonely like when the clay man got he's teeth and they start to run around the video reminds me or two thing both was show I used to watch as a kid one was morph just beacause Jan used clay but the other thing it remind me of is a show call grizzly tales for gruesome kids just beacause of the creepy aesthetic
The next one is called MUTO is by arist group called blur the video is about 7 and half minutes long it was made in 2008 and I feel like the themes are very extraterrestrial monster theme but it was cool and random but it all molded together well the overall mood of piece I feel like if saw in street you would think it was werid but when all together it makes sense even thought it bit random and werid it works and is kind of funny and a childlike context
This video is call "Women are heroes" by JR the video about 10 minutes long and theme are deep sad powerful as show the world what Brazil is like I feel like video is depressed but is all so a big screw you to gangs was makes happy as show the gang member in Brazil that the people are not scared of them and the video remind me of muto in way it put together and the black white image as they can be seen as simple or deep and powerful and think that cool
By H5 (François Alaux, Hervé de Crécy, Ludovic Houplain) France / 2009 / 16′ / french dialogues Production : Autour de Minuit In coprod
The final video we watch was call "Logorama"it was by someone call H5 and made in 2009 and about 16 and half minutes long the was logos commercial comedic random as whole was just werid as I feel kind of confused as it was just thought logo have a normal life confused me the short gave me nostalgic vibes aswell as they was logo they that had busted like blockbusters and the fact I watch when I was younger I think it was it school so it made me smile

This is my first ever try at making a cinemagraph.
Cinemagraph means the art of photography and camera-work in film making. This form of time-base is usually used as a marketing tool in fashion, e.c.t.
In the beginning when we got started we thought of ideas like: waving at the camera, someone clicking their fingers, someone typing, smiling to serious, pouring water in a cup, sticking your tongue out, reflection in a mirror, someones phone going on because of a message, e.c.t.
We then made the video on a DSLR camera which took around eight to eleven seconds for each video. We made a total three of main videos that we could use in photoshop. But it took some time trying to get them as Beth kept moving, laughing and smiling too much.
I decided to do the sticking your tongue out one but it doest look as good as a proper cinemagraph. Beth moved her head while doing the action, this made it harder to make, only one part of her was meant to move and that was the mouth.
This could be improved in many ways like: Beth not moving her head, having it outside so that there is more natural light and a more interesting scenery and making the cinemagraph a bit more smooth. Also if it was outside it would be even more obvious that it was a cinemagraph as the people would be stood still and only Beth moving. When I was making the cinemagraph in photoshop I found it quite difficult grasping how to erase the top layer so that you can see the movement underneath. What I also found difficult was to the editing part overall as I wasn’t sure what I was doing in the beginning.
I learnt how to make a cinemagraph in photoshop. I also learnt that when doing a cinemagraph only one part of the image has to move and it has to move to its position and back or it wont work and there would be a skip back to the start rather then it being smooth. Next time I will be more careful about what I choose so that it looks more smooth and so that it also looks more interesting.
