Time in Hell || (?)
She'd stopped struggling long ago. She didn't even scream to be let out any more, until the nightmares hit. She didn't pull on the bars of her cell like the others. She was eerily calm most of the time - she spent most of her time stroking her dark mark after all. Bellatrix knew her lord would come back for her. That was why she was constantly thirsty, after all. Not just thirsty for him, thirsty for revenge - but physically thirsty. She almost never drank the water that they sent into her cell, instead using it to keep her mark clean - just another sign of her respect for the Dark Lord.
He wasn't dead. That thought alone was keeping Bellatrix alive. There was so much uncertainty that surrounded her, but that was the one thing she was certain of. She didn't know if Rodolphus or Rabastan were still alive, if Sirius was alive, she knew nothing of what was going on at home. But she knew that the Dark Lord lived on. That thought alone helped keep her alive, no matter how thin she got or how thirsty she got.
She knew somewhere that she was going insane as well. It was inevitable after all - nobody kept their mind in Azkaban. She couldn't stop laughing, laughing, laughing. The girlish giggles that bubbled up soon turned into insane shrieks, and Bellatrix couldn't help but wonder what she was laughing at.
But this was one of her saner days, the days when she sat in the corner furthest away from the cell door and just thought about things. This was one of the days when she wondered if her family were still alive - how Narcissa was doing, and how little Draco was, how Walburga and Orion were and if Rodolphus going crazy like she was. If Sirius's mind had broke like hers, if he was even still alive - she'd seen them carrying out little Barty Crouch's body a while ago, and wondered if Sirius was buried out in the shitty graveyard like Junior.
