ok so here we go then!
1. Favorite Book and why:
THAT'S SO HARD! Umm. Okay. Well. I haven't given this as an answer ever, and I don't really know why. Now I absolutely love anything by Scott Westerfeld. He's my favorite author of all time. Even so, I've only read Peeps three times, Leviathan three times, Behemoth twice, Goliath once, and the entire Uglies Series/Midnighter's series once (as well as So Yesterday and the sequel to Peeps) but I don't think I've fallen in love with any of those as much as The Thief of Always by Clive Barker. And trust me, I will talk your ear off about anything Scott Westerfeld and get all bouncy and giddy and praise his name more than I praise the sun that brings us light each and every day. But his books just aren't The Thief of Always.
Why?
Well let me tell you.
When you think about the title, it suggests someone who steals, well, "always". Steals your future. Your past. Your present. This thief steals your existence. How? Delusion. Imagine being a kid and having some man enter your room in a fancy suit and wide smile tells you his name is Rictus (say his name out loud- like a snake- yeah- now you got the idea) and that he works for Mr. Hood (ominous no?) and his job is to find miserable kids and invite them to The Holiday House. Where each day goes through all four seasons. You wake up to cool breezes and budding flowers, have a nice picnic for lunch under a shady tree to keep you from overheating in the Summer sun, dress up in the countless costumes that have been collected over the years for a Halloween celebration right before the sun goes down and the snow starts to fall when you can curl up near a warm fire and discover that Mr. Hood has granted you a birthday present you didn't even realize you wanted so badly.
Nothing wrong with that right?
No. Because it's fucking awesome.
ALSO THERE'S NICE ARTWORK! THIS ONE'S OF RICTUS!
2. An musician you thought you would hate but you actually like
Sick Puppies. They sounded too intense for me. Then I heard Maybe and was like "I like this song! Maybe they're not so intense!" so I looked into all their other songs and was like "This is actually pretty intense! My eargasms are going off at a frequency I've yet to know exists until this very moment!"
3. Favorite TV Show
Psych.
4. TV Show you hate a lot and why
I can honestly not think of one? Um. Maybe something on the Disney Channel. Nine times out of ten if I ever find myself on that station nowadays I find myself wanting to inhale some chloroform and pass out until something better comes on later.
5. Why Tumblr?
Because it's awesome. And I get to see pictures of Psych and Supernatural and squeal like a girl. And I get to see pictures of Dr. Who and get all excited when there's a reference I DON'T understand for once and kick myself for the thousandth time for not watching it yet. But also so I can scroll through sadistic text posts and laugh like a hyena before sharing it to my minions. (That's right, you're not my followers- you're my minions.)
6. If you could play an instrument what would you play?
A crwth. First off because it's the only word in the English language without vowels. (Oh, they'll try to tell you that "w" acts as a vowel but they're lying. Just like they lied about Pluto. Don't listen. Cover your ears. Hear no evil.) Secondly because it actually sounds pretty cool and I've always loved string instruments.
Thirdly because it's Welsh and Wales is my favorite. *Sigh of happiness.*
Seriously though look it up on youtube.
It's pronounced as "ˈkrüth"
7. What’s your favorite thing to do in your free time
Tumble. (If I ever tell you reading or writing it's because that's what I WISH I did with my free time.)
8. Dream job and why
Being a writer! Because I have lots of stories I really want to share and I love reading so seeing my stories on the shelves of a bookstore for others to enjoy would be the best. I don't even have to be a bestseller or anything.
9. Why am I not putting punctuation on some of these?
I was wondering that, but it's Tumblr so I'm used to it by now.
10. Your role models ?
I don't really have any? I've always seen my life as something that was my own and made for me and me alone to shape and sculpt (Well, God and I anyway.) and because of that I've never looked up to a person and thought I wanted to be just like them. When I admire someone I admire them because they allow themselves to be happy. (I'm not talking about forcing happiness when you're sad, I'm talking about following your dreams instead of your logic. Do what makes you happy and just let everything else fall into place. That's what I love in a person. That's what I love in myself.)
11. How did you meet me/find my blog?
Ha, I don't even remember. Either because I looked up a tag and you made a post I liked (or reblogged one), because you followed me first and I checked out your archive and liked what I saw, or because I found that one of the people I follow reblogged a lot of stuff from you and I wanted to go straight to the source.
My Questions!
1. What is your favorite book to movie adaptation? What exactly did they do right?
2. Pirates or Ninjas? Why?
3. Ever met a celebrity you are a fan of? Were they everything you expected them to be?
4. If you could go anywhere in the world, whether it's halfway across from you or down the street, where would it be?
5. What was your biggest fear as a kid? What's your biggest fear now?
6. Is there anything you have on you at all times? (Jewelry, or a keychain perhaps?) What sentimental value does it hold for you?
7. What's a funny story about something you did as a kid?
8. What's your favorite word and why?
9. What's a trait you have that others might see as a bad thing, but that you secretly love about yourself?
10. Can you please dance around the room a bit? (You don't need to answer, I just want you to do it.)
11. Why are you following me? (Bless your soul.) Unless you don't follow me. I'm tagging my favorite blogs. At this point I see your name so much I kinda just assume you see mine too. (Is that a sad thing?)
