A small smiled played on Lightning lips at the sight of Borte's clear excitement, it seemed she had been right to invite the other girl.

❝Of course we can go together.❞ She told Borte, she had no reason to say no after all. ❝Fang and Vanille said they'd be there, and Meiko should be too.❞ None of the boys though, this was supposed to a girls night out.

Hopefully one that wouldn't turn into a bar fight.

❝Stay down.❞ Hope cautioned Artemis, as they crouched behind an outcropping of rock. He didn't know why the Garleans were here, as far as he knew there was nothing in the area that should be of interest of them, but it was never a good sign when they were around.

Thankfully, it didn't seem like any of the soldiers had spotted them yet, but it was only a matter of time if they continued to stick around. Searching for anything that might help them out, Hope cast his gaze around the area. He could see a couple possibilities, there was a suit of magitek armor that was relatively unguarded, as well as an unstable pile of rocks that maybe could be pushed over as a distraction.

And of course there was always the possibility of just outright fighting them, there weren't too many after all. It seemed like they were most likely a scouting party of some kind.

❝What do you think?❞ He asked Artemis. ❝Should we try to sneak away or just take them on?❞

[ BANDAGE ] : sender bandages a wound on receiver.

❝Or you need to stop getting yourself hurt.❞ Hope grumbled, digging through his supply pouch for a bandage even while one hand kept pressure on the wound. Thankfully he always carried several around just in case, but he really would have preferred to not need them.

Dark red stained his glove as he struggled to unravel the rolled up bandage with a single hand. It would be easier to deal with the injury if they had any potions left, but those had already been used up. They really should have figured someplace called the Palace of the Dead would be extremely dangerous.

❝This is going to hurt.❞ He warned, as he lifted his hand from the wound to begin wrapping the bandage around her thigh. They were lucky it had been a trap that had injured her and not a monster, so they hadn't had to fight anything off.

Meiko was going to be at a disadvantage when fighting until her leg healed though, so they'd have to hope they could get out without encountering anything too dangerous.

Maybe he really did need to learn a healing spell.

❝Nothing. Nothing happened at all.❞ Hope shifted slightly, trying to hide the mess behind him. Hopefully Meiko hadn't heard the explosion and he could pass it off as a deliberate decorating choice. Shabby chic, or whatever it was that the kids called it.

Did shabby chic usually involve metal scattered around the room?

❝It's fine. Don't worry about it.❞

Surely it hadn't been their fault? They had hardly done anything after all, things just seemed to suddenly snowball out of control. At least nobody had gotten hurt, but it might be better if they didn't come back anytime soon.

Either way, anyone who knew anything had a high chance of keeping their mouths shut. They were either going have to be either very persuasive or very sneaky if they wanted to get information.

My second reaction to this, was "What the fuck."

❝It's a valid reaction.❞ How else was one supposed to react to being faced with a speedo wearing roegadyn. It had even been leopard print as well. If there was a way to unsee something, Hope would have jumped at the chance.
