The glinting light reflecting off a metal arm was lost when he ducked inside a old brick building and Elektra smiled to herself. It was infinitely easier to stalk someone when not having to negotiate an endless pool of water dragging around her ankles. Dropping her breath, masking her heartbeat, impossibly light on her feet, she waited only a moment before tracing his steps.
Inside the warm light from the orange sky filtered in through clouded windows and made the edges of the rooms glow. She continued to pursue him, as she’d been doing for a while. There hadn’t been any excuse to hunt this way in a long while. When fighting ghosts and monsters there was no need for blending into shadows and moving silently, but ninja wasn’t a second skin it’s her first. The solider cut a nice silhouette, but mostly her eye curiously tracked the minute movements of the metallic arm, the clean way it’s joints flexed and relaxed.
As his pace slowed she decided to be bold, closing in on him a little more quickly, playing a game to see how close she could get to the other assassin before he noticed her there.
