Yo, earthforge here, I've been meaning to ask you about a line that Viz translated in ch 97. It's after Rin looks at Kurikara and is surprised it's broken. Yukio explains it broke when Rin attacked, and then says in the Viz translation "you're not half-bad when you try" which seems out-of-place. I noticed Viz also changed the punctuation, from "...っ" to "...!" Is this a translation error, like when Viz translated Rin in ch 90 as telling Shiemi "you don't even bother to scold me anymore"?
The line that Yukio said was やればできるじゃないか, which is literally “You can do it if you do it, can’t you?” In not-terrible English that’s something like “man, you’re pretty good when you actually try” so...same as the Viz translation.
In the next speech bubble he says “but you came back to your senses almost immediately” almost like he’s disappointed about that, and then talks about Rin’s kindness as a limitation. With how warped Yukio’s thinking was right then, I’m guessing he either thought berserk!Rin's brutal power was the kind of thing that he looks up to and wants to have for himself, or he was secretly hoping he’d die from the attack, or both.
For the ...っ, a little tsu at the end of a statement (or all by itself) is like a glottal stop, and shows that the person’s voice sort of caught in their throat, or the word was cut off abruptly, that sort of thing. Not that different from “saying” an exclamation point, really, and it’s pretty normal to translate it that way. Though it also would have made sense to just leave it as “...” here, since the “...!” might look a little more surprised than he actually is. Yukio’s face in that panel looks more like “tch...” than surprise to me.
