Fuck Prose, Emoticons for the Win: A tale from 2013
I was born, “Alexandra Casey Dziura” on April 11th, 1992 to John Joseph Dziura and Jerilyn Delores Dziura – as she was called in those days. We all lived quite happily in a quaint little two-story house in a Stepford-esque neighborhood called “Wedgewood” in the 7,000-person town of Mahtomedi, Minnesota. It was a quiet town. When my parents built our house, there was a mink farm located in our backyard. That farm is about as long gone as I am from that place now. Growing up, I loved listening to music. I had an old Casio cassette player with the cheapest pair of headphones a person could imagine which I would tote around with me everywhere I went. I listened to the same recording of “Summer of ‘69” by Bryan Adams over and over again. It’s hard to imagine the technology with which we used to live.
That’s all in the past now, however. Today I live in the middle of one of the most urban cities in the country, Chicago, Illinois. I eat foods like sushi and steak tar tar. I listen to pretentious indie electro music and aspire to live in a loft in Brooklyn. Oh how times have changed….
What show/movie are those last pictures you blogged from???
