I’m always a sucker for bickering to lovers (it’s literally my fav) and this scenario was fucking heavenly👏👏 The most absolutely amazing thing about this fic is how they write tension, like a story with this much edging in it has gotta ride that line, but they bring you to the breaking point every single time along with the characters and then expertly pull back. It’s how they break down Gold’s walls and expectations until they’re bare to all the feelings and sensations and you just have to ride along with them.
Also the way they portray Poe actually makes me an insane rabid dog in the best way possible. You can kinda believe at first that he’s just playing too until you realize gold is completely blind to both of their feelings at first and that he is in so much deeper than a bet. Dear god everything he does in this fic to break down your walls both sexually and emotionally makes me foam at the mouth. He will fuck you stupid and he’s so terribly, terribly, good at it.
I literally can not recommend this enough, do yourself a major favor and give it a read. It’s maybe one of the best smut fics I’ve read, definitely one of the best at weaving story and genuine emotion through. @no-droids I can’t thank you enough for your writing, it was truly such a good read and I can’t wait to check out more of your work.👏👏
