In Anakin’s defense, he hadn’t wandered into the mist on purpose because he wanted to be in it or anything -- it’d been unavoidable, blocking off the roads, and there had been no way around it. Or maybe there had been -- but he hadn’t been willing to backtrack and painstakingly search for it. Going through the mist seemed easy enough -- he knew, vaguely, where he was going, which was... out of the mist. Simple.
...It is not that simple. Maybe the mist just covers a larger area than he’d thought, or maybe it’s constantly moving and shifting, but now that he’s walked into it, he can’t seem to walk out of it. Anakin hefts his lightsaber higher, using it to light his path, though it’s not very effective in actually giving him a better visual of anything due to the ever-present mist.
It would appear he’s not the only person navigating the city’s newly mist-covered streets, though -- just ahead, there’s a woman he’s vaguely familiar with, facing the other direction. She’s just -- standing there. What, is she lost or something? Because last time Anakin checked, this isn’t that great of a hangout location. He flicks his lightsaber off, clipping it onto his belt, and takes a few steps closer.
❝ Uh, aren’t people supposed to be evacuating or something? ❞ he asks pointedly. The unvoiced, skeptical what are you doing? is clear in his tone.
@timestained, what’re you just standing around for? / event!
