Follow up from my post blabbing about my 1961 AU for 4KOTA— which as of chapter 51, I’ve changed the year to 1963. So from now on, this au will be referred to as the 1963 au.
I admit that when I made that first post, I was drunk. I was meaning to keep it to myself, but now that I’ve squealed, looks like I got no choice but to proceed with what I said I wanted to.
So basically in this AU is set in the UK in- of course- 1963. I chose this particular year because in this au, NNT would have taken place in 1945. While the idea of writing for a 1945 AU for NNT sounds exciting, I’m more invested in the 1963 AU. Our sweet-as-can-be protagonist, Percival Darcy, lives on a small rural farm several miles from Manchester with his Grandfather. All of a sudden, Percy’s father shows up and attacks them. This is when Percival learns of the Camelot Foundation- a humanitarian organization that has secret ties to all sorts of organized crime.
That’s all I’ll share for the time being, but I will try to update more info often on it.
Headcanon: Meikai was adopted by the Sea king after finding him abandoned and alone on a beach as a small toddler. He was raised with Uomi and Mitsoku, but he knew he could never rule the sea kingdom for not being related by blood, and he was okay with that.
A dumb assortment of mismatched thoughts that could be somewhat amusing about having a revenant Commander that channels Scarlet;
- if it was connected to the End of Dragons expansion, she could 100% have special dialogue in different sections of the story, almost like how playing a sylvari in Heart of Thorns gave bonus Mordremoth dialogue.
- but it’d never be anything even remotely helpful, especially if she was currently working with Mai Trin in some sort of antagonist/rivalry deal against the Commander. mostly little quips and taunts, sometimes a trick mixed in.
‘hey commander, you should go down there~ it looks interesting!’
‘... that was an aetherblade trap. did you just try to kill me?’
‘kill you? noooo, never~! we’re on the same side now, remember!’
‘look, behind you!’

- also consider; the Commander getting to poke fun at her whenever her evil schemes consistently flop one way or another, too. bonus points for the exasperated disbelief when she enacts a plan so ridiculous that they’re just ‘really. you’re obviously running out of ideas now because What The Fuck’
- alternatively; if there was an unsteady, temporary ‘alliance’ between them, having these intermittent ‘power struggles’ between the two where Scarlet suggests absolute nonsense she KNOWS is gonna get shot down, just to be a nuisance

- meanwhile the entirety of Dragon’s Watch is 100% certain the Commander has gone insane and it’s only partially because they’re hearing voices
- anyway can you tell the #1 thing I would change about LW1 is the Commander’s sudden conversion into a silent protagonist. give me Quip Wars 2, Anet, I beg you
Howdy, everyone! It’s been a while since I last posted content on this blog, and I apologize about that. School has been keeping me really busy and exhausted. Despite that it’s now spring break for me, I have a ton of school work to do during my break. It just so happens that the majority of it deals with art, giving me an idea I should have had ages ago.
For now on, I’ll regularly post the progress of my art projects!
I can’t believe I didn’t think of this until now, really.
