Alice in Tumblr-Land and other fairy tales for a new generation

So today my copy of "Alice in Tumblr-Land" arrived! The first thing I did: read through the complete book.

So my opinion: IT'S SUPER AMAZING!!! It's loads of tiny stories that are connected. The fairy tales aren't in one piece but that only makes them more perfect, because they end in one big happy end.

All our beloved fairy tale characters such as Alice, Snowwhite and even Peter Pan hove to grow up. They live in the time of social networking, netflix and youtube. In this world the happy end is hard but the tiny stories give you hope that everything can turn out just fine. The fairy tales are also critically written.

For example: Mulan is now a male called Ping. Rapunzel is lesbian and one of the three pigs is republican. But the book doesn't hate that and shows how parents might deal with it too.

I loved this book and apparently...the author has a blog! (here's a LINK it's called fairy tales for twenty-somethings but I think it's also suitable for younger people (including me))

The author's name is Tim Manley.
