2.) have you ever found a writer who thinks just like you? if so, who?
It has been waaaay to long since i actually read a book for personal enjoyment, sadly i don’t think i’ve found a writer who thinks just like me.
15.)five most influential books over your lifetime.
To Seek a Newer World by Robert F. Kennedy
This book is a collection of essays about a bunch of different policy based issues that Senator/Attorney General Kennedy thought were going to be most important to solve going forward, and it’s still so relevant. I have a first edition copy I got from a used bookstore for $12 and it led to the obsession I have with the man. Like I have 5 posters/pieces of art hanging up in my room, and one of them is a portrait of Bobby Kennedy.
Me Too Iguana from the Sweet Pickles Books
This was the first book I ever read. My mom used to read it to me every night for about a year and a half, and then one night when I was 4 I said “I wanna read it tonight” My mom decided to humor me and it turns out by listening to the same book over and over and seeing it I had essentially figured out how to read on my own. Still a lil proud of that one.
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley
Words cannot do this book justice. Just go read it.
Jurassic Park by Michael Crichton
Theres something about Crichton’s writing that’s so accessible and so thrilling. Jurassic Park is a great movie, but the book blows it out of the water any day of the week.
Daredevil Yellow by Jeph Loeb
Here’s my comic choice, I had to think about this for a while. But this comic straight up made me cry the first time I read it, now was i influenced by my own emotional state going in, yes, but it’s amazing and gorgeous and I love it.
30.) pick one of your favorite quotes.
“I believe that, as long as there is plenty, poverty is evil.” -Robert Kennedy
