There’s water in the desert if you know where to look! A chain of tinajas (there were thousands of gallons of water in these!) with a tiny marsh at the very end. It was a super hot day (104 degrees F). Some of the tinajas were deep enough to soak in and cool enough to help with the extreme heat. Somewhere near Crescent Junction, north of Moab. July 30, 2022.

A large tinaja in Petroglyph Canyon. There were several hundred gallons of water in this tinaja. I was overheated when we found it and took the opportunity to refresh myself.
