"Commander Shepard?" He almost didn't believe his eyes. But even after two, three blinks, she was still there, in person. "I.. I don't know if you remember me or not, but I'm Kenn!" The man couldn't help but bounce a little on his feet. "You helped me, back on Omega, got an elcor merchant to back off, and then to top that off you even paid for my ticket! I'm... I'm a lot better now, thanks to you."

The quarian pauses for a moment. "It might not mean much to someone like you, but.." Kenn reaches into a pouch to produce a credit chit. "I've saved up to repay you, been keeping it on me on the off chance I might actually see you again."

They were confined on Earth, grounded by people who refused to believe the facts laid out before them. The actions that had been taken were horrible to be sure. But they were necessary and that’s what irked Cillian. Standing behind Shepard his fingers drummed into his arm while the Alliance brass droned on. 

That was until reports started to come in and everything went to shit. Outside the window he saw a sight he never wanted to see, had hoped to avoid. A Reaper descending to Earth, his last thought before the window blew in and he was sent flying was that they hardly had time to even defend themselves. Then his head hit the wall and for a moment he knew nothing.
